On Sunday, the Falcons filled out their practice squad with seven familiar names and one player who was not on the Falcons roster in the pre-season. The Falcons kept just two practice squad players from the 2012 squad. Here's who made the cut: QB Seth Doege- Doege was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech but didn't see any action in the pre-season. His making the squad, in my opinion, was in large part because of the injury to Sean Renfree. FB Patrick DiMarco- DiMarco was a UDFA in 2011 and played on the Chiefs last season where he saw action in five games. DiMarco is likely on the squad as an insurance policy for Bradie Ewing.  WR Darius Johnson- Johnson is a UDFA out of SMU. He had an impressive pre-season and no doubt earned his way onto the practice squad. Johnson led the Falcons in the pre-season with 13 receptions and he also had one TD. WR James Rodgers- Rodgers was a UDFA in 2012 for the Falcons and has kicked around the Falcons organization since then. Rodgers didn't make the squad because of his performance in pre-season as he only had 3 receptions but he's been with the Falcons long enough for them to know what he can do and the WR corps behind Roddy White, Julio Jones and Harry Douglas is unproven and thin. TE Mickey Shuler- This is the only player who was not with the Falcons this fall and has bounced around a bit. He's a 7th round pick out of Penn State (by the Vikings) who first saw action with the Dolphins in 2010 when he played in six games and had two receptions. G Phillipkeith Manley- Manley was originally signed by the Falcons as a UDFA in 2012. He was signed to the practice squad in September of last year and was brought up to the active roster when Garrett Reynolds got hurt last season. The OL is the biggest question-mark on the team so it's interesting to me that we kept just one offensive lineman on this squad. DT Adam Replogle- Replogle was a UDFA out of Indiana that signed with the Falcons this season. We saw him as one to watch this fall and I think he played well and he's a good pick-up for the squad. In the pre-season, he finished with seven tackles and a sack. CB Jordan Mabin- Mabin is out of Northwestern and has bounced around alot since being a UDFA in 2012. He's been on the Ravens and Browns roster as well as the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL. Mabin has been with the Falcons since August 1st.
