Atlanta Falcons veteran tight end Tony Gonzalez has said it before - and he said again on Friday. Gonzalez announced that this next season will be his last. "I said that last year though, and the year before. But I really do believe this is it," Gonzalez said. "First of all, this is the first time my wife came to me and said, ‘You’re only going to play one more year, right?’” The soon-to-be 36-year-old Gonzalez signed a one-year, $6.9 million contract extension through 2012. In the midst of his finest season since arriving in Atlanta in 2009, Gonzalez has reeled in 80 receptions for 875 yards and seven touchdowns in 2011. Selected to the Pro Bowl for the 12th time in his 15-year career, Gonzalez moved past Marvin Harrison (1,102) and Cris Carter (1,101) to sit second all-time with 1,148 receptions this season. Jerry Rice is comfortably ahead at 1,549.
