In a game where Atlanta once led by twenty points, Atlantans were subjected to a monumental collapse by our beloved Falcons. The offense disappeared in the second half and behind the play of Russell Wilson, Seattle fought back into the ballgame after intercepting a horrific Matt Ryan pass. After the interception, the Falcons proceeded to go three and out while Seattle kept scoring. John Abraham was out of the game, and there was no stopping Russellmania as it ran wild on us. The Seahawks rallied from twenty points down in the fourth quarter to take a one point lead with 31 seconds remaining… Matt Ryan threw a strike to Harry Douglas and another bullet to Tony Gonzalez, setting up Matt Bryant with a game winning field goal. Matt Ryan just led the Falcons to one of the biggest moments in Atlanta sports history. Or did he? The kickoff was suppose to be a squib kick, but it came off Matt Bosher's foot wrong. This gave Seattle another chance to break our hearts but Julio Jones, put in on defense to defend against a hail mary, picked off Wilson in the endzone and secured Mike Smith, Matt Ryan and Tony Gonzalez's first playoff victory. What a game folks! Now, exhale.... Atlanta faces San Francisco next week for the NFC Championship. There is a lot to talk about, the miscues, the big plays, the coaching staff but for now let's just celebrate a chaotic playoff win.
