Longtime Eagles fan Tommy Lawlor a.k.a goeagles99 on the Eagles message board gives us the skinny on 3 possible choices for the Eagles at the WR spot. He's followed the team for almost 20 years. Tommy has been trained by an NFL scout in the art of scouting and player evaluation and runs www.scoutsnotebook.com. Good read see if you guys agree.

  • i've read his column before!!!!!! he picked different ones then i thought, interesting the 7, NICE gunna!!!
  • DOH i meant the 3, sorry typing too fast!!!
  • Great post Gunna...as usual. and as usual...i'll throw my 2 cents in!

I love the kid from Mich St...he has off the field problems...but what WR doesnt these days? My only problem would be using the 19th pick on him since he prolly won't be sitting there at 49.

Nelson could be the steal of this draft at the WR position. He's big, physical and just a beast. Using a 2nd or 3rd round pick on him wouldn't be bad.

Royal would be just aight. He helps the return game, but I don't know how much of an impact he'd have on offense.
  • royal is a great KR that could be a late round steal at that position
  • I'm a VT grad and have followed Eddie Royal through is college career. I think if this guy is there in there in the 3rd, we should take him. He's an explosive receiver, fast, and can get separation. He hasn't been a primary receiver at VT b/c of the guys they've had, and not the greatest QBs to throw to him over the past couple of years. This guy is gamebreaker on special teams. He'd also fit nicely as a slot WR.
  • don't we have enough guys who would fit nicely as a slot WR?
  • drtik you're so reading my mind.great post though. We all know we're going o -line in the 1rst, so there goes DT.And you know what else? I've had too much wine to be typing.khfriurytvterut
  • lets hope andy has too much wine on draft day and does something we'll actally like!
  • I HEAR DAT!!!
  • This dude smokes CRACK. The only 3 names should've been as follows:
    JAMES HARDY
    MALCOLM KELLY
    LIMAS SWEED

    and that's my final answer!
  • Jordy Nelson is gonna be an allstar..hes bad ass...i get a lot of people say he too slow..my ass..he runs at 4.4 40...talib is ranked fourth in the nation at cb chek it out..

  • I like Devin Thomas, but not in the 1st. He might fit well, but Kenny Philips has got me man, if you watch highlights of him, its the next Sean Taylor, possibly the 2nd best to Dawks. Remember when Reed and Taylor were asked who inspires you they both said Brian Dawkins, Philips said Neon Deion, interesting, read my new article The Answer
