Ridiculous tattoos have long been a staple of sports fandom, with each new splotch of ink seemingly outdoing the last.
This next one is no different.
One Twitter user, QuinnNYG, proved he's a "true fan" of Steve Weatherford, getting the signature of the Giants punter tattooed on his leg.
Yes, you read that correctly. Here's the proof.
Weatherford, a frequent user of several social media outlets, was impressed by the gesture. He tweeted that it's "committed," and on his Facebook profile -- friend him if you haven't already -- called it "pure craziness."
Most of us would agree with the latter.
While Weatherford is among the best at his position, it's absurd to get another person's signature permanently pressed into your skin.
But, hey, who am I to judge? We all have our trip. Different strokes. Yadda yadda yadda.

New York Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw said he's been working with rookie RB David Wilson on "the little things", like pass-blocking assignments and more importantly, patience, prior to their matchup with the Washington Redskins. "It's very tough. Coming from college, they just want to get the ball in your hands and you run with it. Here, everybody is a pro,...
Stopping Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III becomes an even more daunting task with at least one of the Giants key components missing in action Monday night. Safety Kenny Phillips is doubtful as he was onyl able to make it through two practices during the week with an injured right knee. On Friday he sounded sure he'd play, but the team apparently doesn't feel the same way.
New York Giants safety Kenny Phillips (knee) made the trip to Washington D.C. to play the Redskins on Monday night.
Phillips was listed as doubtful on the Giants’ official injury report, but this is certainly a positive sign that he has chance at playing.
Linebacker Jacquin Williams on the other hand was listed as doubtful and has now been downgraded to out and didn’t make the...

New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin settled his hands on his hips and launched into a 90-second assessment of the way his team managed to lose despite avoiding any turnovers and repeatedly putting together long drives.
It was a postgame news conference following New York's 17-16 defeat against the Washington Redskins on Monday night. It sounded like a speech he might deliver...
The New York Giants may be without safety Kenny Phillips,
defensive lineman Jason Pierre-Paul and offensive lineman David Diehl when they

The New York Giants (7-4) will play the Washington Redskins (5-6) on Monday night football at FedEx Field from Landover, MD.
Game starts at 8:30 pm on ESPN (TV) and WFAN (Radio).
Giants favorites over Redskins.
Spread is -2.5 points.
My pick is the Giants.
This game will mean a lot for the Giants as they will try to keep their lead in the NFC...
The Giants were moving the ball, at least between the 20s, seemingly at will thoroughout the first half, but it was one of those games where a team dominates early but settles for field goals or squandered scoring opportunities outright. By the time the Redskins defense was actually able to keep New York from mounting 10-play drives on each possession, the ‘Skins had taken the...
