New York Jets
The final preseason installment of the Fantasy Flatliners is for yet another entire team to avoid. This time it’s the New York Jets and the team is all-around worthless.
You have to start at quarterback when thinking about the putrid stench coming off the Jets. Mark Sanchez hasn’t been able to hit the broadside of a barn with his passes so far this preseason. Tim Tebow hasn’t been any better and the quarterback situation has even drawn the attention of the White House.
Yeah, the White House. President Barack Obama has even weighed in on this issue so consider this your executive order to avoid both of them.
Santonio Holmes is the #1 receiver for the Jets but you’re likely to have no idea who the #2 is. Could it be Chaz Schilens, Jeremy Kerley, Stephen Hill, Patrick Turner or even defensive back Antonio Cromartie? Regardless of who it is, none of them are worth owning. Tight end Dustin Keller is barely a bye-week fill-in at this point in his career.
The ground game is just as confusi...

EMBRACE THE CRAZE
New York Jets owner Woody Johnson put his opinion of the Jets backup quarterback quite succinctly when he stated, "I think you can never have too much Tebow."
The New York Jets head into their pre-season finale tonight against the Philadelphia Eagles with plenty of questions surrounding their roster. On the field tonight will be a minimal amount of impact players for the 2012 team, however there are a handful who still have an opportunity to lock down prominent roles. After the game Mike Tannenbaum needs to get to work in adding depth...
QUEEN LATIFAH APPROVES
On Wednesday, 19 veteran New York Jets players went through eight hours of training with ex-military members and covered themes such as how to build camaraderie.
One of the more despicable stories of the week developed in Pennsylvania on Monday when a 17-year-old was attacked while mowing a lawn.
The attacker stopped his car, got out, ran up to Josh Ehrenberg, and then clotheslined him off a lawnmower. At that point, the bizarre story became truly absurd, according to Ehrenberg:
“He clotheslined me off the tractor, and [it] landed...

Former Baylor player Robert Griffin has been cut. No, not that one.
The Jets released 15 players Friday, including tackle Robert T. Griffin, who blocked for Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III at Baylor and was New York's sixth-round draft pick. He is not related to the Redskins quarterback chosen No. 2 overall in the draft.
Quarterback Matt Simms, the son of Phil Simms...

Rex Ryan has grown irritated with his locker room constantly being in disarray, so yesterday Rex came up with a family type bonding situation.
In a report from USA Today, Rex sent Mark Sanchez, Darrelle Revis, Tim Tebow, Santonio Holmes, and 15 other Jets players to a “leadership training” seminar in Bedminster, N.J.
The players had the joy of being excused from...
There is never a dull moment with the New York Jets, right? I know, you are so over the Jets with all their coverage from ESPN. Probably tired of us bringing them up as well, right? Tough. The latest news about the team that has yet to score a touchdown in the preseason is that [...]
Tim Tebow's intangibles won't be found in the box score. Find out why New York's Wildcat quarterback isn't concerned about his low completion percentage, but intent on leading the Jets into the end zone.
It’s obvious the New York Jets have had a pretty hard time since they entered training camp. The QB controversy, Darrelle Revis’ potential contract holdout, brawls in training camp, and the secret wildcat play are just a handful of things we can’t stop debating. Talk about the Jets has not gotten any better since the preseason started.
