Dwayne Bowe and Marshawn Lynch are among two players fantasy owners should be weary of drafting. We got all this talk surrounding fantasy football sleepers, rankings and good old fashion fantasy football advice, but we’ve seemingly forgotten about those players and/or situations you should avoid in 2012. Knowing who to stay away from in fantasy is just as important as knowing who could potentially be the “next big thing”, and while there is a bevy of obvious players no one is going to even consider, there are a few others that you might be on the fence with. Perhaps I have one of those players listed here today, but to find out, you’re gonna have to read further. Dwayne Bowe – WR – Kansas City: I don’t see Bowe doing anything for fantasy owners this season, yet many still hope he can recapture his 2009 season where he caught 72 balls for 1,162 yards and 15 TDs—ain’t gonna happen. I’d love to extend the olive branch here, but the fact is he’s already up in arms about playing

Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe was a no show at training camp. Now what?

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – After indicating that he would indeed play nice under the franchise tag, Kansas City WR Dwayne Bowe did not report to training camp today. As the Chiefs only unsigned player, Bowe will become the team’s major training camp storyline until he shows up and takes the $9.5 million dollars that team owes him for the year under the tag. Chiefs’ Dwayne Bowe does not report for Training Camp

Dwayne Bowe is one of the few unsigned franchise players remaining. He officially became a holdout by skipping the Chiefs’ first day of Training Camp Friday. It’s unclear what Bowe hopes to gain from this as he can’t be signed long term now anyway. He will become a free agent next offseason either way, so all he’s doing is hurting himself, and potentially costing himself...

Time to bury the hatchet, Dwayne Bowe

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Because what else are you going to do? Play "Angry Birds" until your thumbs bleed? Learn macram? Audition for "Dancing With The Stars?" Make celebrity cameos on Rob Gronkowski's new reality show? Come to camp, Dwayne Bowe. Come on, man. This is starting to get silly. Look, we get it. You were itching for a long-term deal. Or maybe a ticket...

Seattle opens camp with QB battle

Marshawn Lynch received plenty of cheers from the fans sitting on the grassy hill on Saturday as the Seattle Seahawks began training camp. Whether those cheers get silenced at any point this season because of discipline from the NFL or the Seahawks after his arrest for driving under the influence remains a lingering question. ''This is something we really can't talk...

Seahawks Sign Clemons, Still Hopeful For Lynch

Northwest Sports Update A lot of Seattle’s 5dimes odds depends on the status of two players, defensive end Chris Clemons and running back Marshawn Lynch. One half of that duo is in a better place than he was, while the other is waiting to see if he can even play in the season opener. Actually, Lynch’s troubles are larger than that as he was arrested for a DUI and he has been...

Seattle opens camp with QB battle center stage

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll says he was disappointed by Marshawn Lynch for his arrest on charges of driving under the influence in Northern California, but said he's had good communication with his star running back following the incident. The Seahawks opened training camp Saturday with most of the focus on the three-way battle for the starting quarterback position and...

Breaking the law, fantasy impact

Is it a surprise to wake up in the morning and discover that another NFL player has been busted for an alleged DUI? I can still remember the Marshawn Lynch incident when he hit a Canadian girl downtown with his car near the Chippewa district (the party zone) here in Buffalo. The perplexing thing, of course, is that if I (like most reading this) figured out a way to get home safely...

Saturday Training Camp Notes

- According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Mike Wallace has turned down a five-year, $50 million deal from the Steelers. I?m sure Dwayne Bowe wishes he had this problem. The Steelers historically have not negotiated with holdouts and this was more than the Steelers just extended Antonio Brown for. There was no word as to how much was guaranteed (remember this is football...
