Start ‘em & Sit ‘em Week 10 Fantasy Football – Seattle Seahawks Week 10 Predictions The Seahawks are at home for the second week in a row and that can only mean one thing: better than average numbers for all of their position players. Last week it seemed that everyone had a good game, and this week shouldn’t be much different. The visiting Jets come in off a bye week but with the 29th ranked pass defense which should, in theory, mean a decent week for the QB and pass catchers. New York’s run defense has been gashed lately and it is nearly unfathomable for anyone to slow Marshawn Lynch at CenturyLink. So which Seahawks are worthy of a start for your Fantasy squad this week? Let’s take a look! Seahawks Fantasy Forecast for Week 10: QB Russell Wilson 20 yards rushing, 200 yards passing, 1 TDs Wilson is certainly a better QB at home than he is on the road, just like the rest of the team. His average is about 180 yards per game, but he is definitely above average on home turf. While I like him to have a decent game, I think his yardage numbers will be limited again because of Beast Mode. He may be a bit risky in the world of Fantasy but he does have some upside – I am projecting 1 TD, but a second wouldn’t be a shock. RB Marshawn Lynch 120 yards rushing, 1 TD, 2 catches, 20 yards Lynch is riding a three game streak in which he has eclipsed 100 yards rushing. No reason to think the streak is snapped Sunday! He will certainly get the ball 25 times this week and produce based on those touches. The Jets gave up 169 yards to C.J. Spiller and 152 yards to Arian Foster, and Lynch is in that tier of running back. Start Beast Mode with confidence!  WR Sidney Rice 5 catches, 70 yards Rice has been consistent but that isn’t saying a whole lot. His yardage numbers have been improving but he certainly isn’t the guy that Russell Wilson looks to in order to get in the end zone. That honor belongs to… WR Golden Tate 4 catches, 50 yards, 1 TD Tate is feast or famine – scary if you are depending on him for your Fantasy squad. These guys should connect for at least one TD this Sunday. (Photo: Elaine Thompson/ AP) While I like him to post moderate yardage numbers and to score this week, I am not touching him for my fantasy squad. More consistency has to be seen before he can be trusted. TE Zach Miller 3 catches, 30 yards Miller has been good for 20-30 yards per game and I think that trend continues this week. He could be the recipient of Wilson’s second TD pass as well, but my lack of utmost trust in Miller is keeping me from projecting one. Miller is still far outside the realm of Fantasy stardom – look somewhere else. PK Steven Hauschka 3 FG 2 XP D/ST 300 yards, 3 sacks, 2 Int. 1 FF With the aid of the 12th man, I can see this being another solid week for the Seahawks defense. They are an every week start in Fantasy. This week they face a very fragile Jets offense that will likely implode when they hear the noise that they will inevitably be faced with. Blatant homerism! I wouldn’t trade Lynch for Peterson

Or anyone for that matter On Monday, my editor sent me this Seattle Seahawks pitch, asking if I would be interested in writing the piece—he already had the headline picked.  I had to laugh a little bit at first because I actually had this conversation with my buddy at at a recent game. The actual conversation wasn’t really about Marhawn Lynch versus Adrian Peterson; it was...

Turn On The Jets Week 10 Roundtable – Jets vs. Seahawks Predictions

Joe Caporoso - 12 Pack  Chris Gross - Prediction: Seahawks 23 Jets 13 – The Jets enter week 10 heading into a hostile environment at CenturyLink Field. Seattle utilizes their 12th man like no other team in the NFL, making CenturyLink a nightmare for opposing teams. In order to keep it close, the Jets must be able tune out the roaring crowd, a daunting task for a team that has...

Turn On The Jets Roundtable Week 10 – Jets vs. Seattle Match-Ups

The Turn On The Jets staff discusses what match-up they are most looking forward to this weekend when the New York Jets travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. Make sure to give everybody a follow on Twitter - Joe Caporoso - The Jets aren’t beating Seattle unless they do two things: slow down Marshawn Lynch (keep him somewhere in the 60-80 total rushing yards area) and don’t...

Seahawks who impressed against the Vikings Sunday

Seahawks turn it around at home Seattle Seahawks 30, Minnesota Vikings 20 When: 1:05 PM PST, Sunday, November 4, 2012 Where:  CenturyLink Field, Seattle, Washington At this point in the season, the Seattle Seahawks offense is a lot further along then I expected them to be. Sunday they needed it to win.   I would still expect them to have ups and downs during the remainder of...

Wilson Over Sanchez. Seattle Seahawks Over New York Jets

Mark Sanchez was almost a Seahawk. When he was available in the draft back in 2009, the Seahawks supposedly were strongly considering him. They instead went with a guy considered to be a safe bet, in linebacker Aaron Curry. Curry didn’t work out for the Seahawks and they eventually traded him to the Raiders for a pair of picks. Curry didn’t do much in Seattle and spent most of...

Carroll sees growth after studying Redskins

A frustrating loss at St. Louis in Week 4 sent Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll in search of ways to make his offense more productive. Russell Wilson and the Seahawks' offense had scored more than 20 points just once in four games and were converting just 28 percent of third down opportunities for the season. Against the Rams, Seattle was just 2 of 9 in third down conversions...

Breakdown: New York Jets vs Seattle Seahawks

Coming out of a bye week, no one is expecting the 3-5 New York Jets to beat the 5-4 Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks have the 3rd best defense in the league, are undefeated at home, and have the advantage when it comes to both their offense and their defense. Unlike the dismissive and treasonous so-called Jet fans that have been outnumbering the real Jet fans in Metlife stadium, the...

Five Seattle Seahawks who must impress vs. Jets on Sunday

The usual suspects The Seattle Seahawks are at home again this week, welcoming in the New York Jets. The Seahawks are looking to go on a win streak after reversing their recent luck last week in a win over the Minnesota Vikings. The Jets are just looking to keep their head above water as they sink further and further down the AFC ranks. Last week, the Seahawks must have read this...

New York Jets Week 10 – Early Thoughts On Jets/Seahawks

A collection of thoughts on the New York Jets week 10 match-up against the Seattle Seahawks  1. On paper this is a terrible match-up for the Jets. Seattle has an elite defense led by a great secondary with an elite pass rush bolstered by the best homefield advantage on football. The Jets have a below average offense with an inconsistent passing game that can’t protect their quarterback...

Can the Seahawks extend a drive or get off the field consistently?

3rd Down’s Weighing Them Down The boiling point for the third down troubles the Seattle Seahawks have had all season came during the Detroit Lions game-winning drive in the week 8 loss. Three times during that drive, the Hawks’ usually dominant defense had the Lions in a third-and-long situation, and three times, the Lions converted.  The two times they didn’t convert on third...
