Start ‘em & Sit ‘em Week 12 Fantasy Football – Seattle Seahawks Week 12 Predictions The Seattle Seahawks emerge from their bye this week and head out onto the road where they have been far less productive than they have at home this year. That’s the bad news. The good news is that they face a Miami Dolphins team that made Buffalo look like a top tier team in all aspects of the game last week. It appears to be a good situation for the Hawks in Week 12 – they are healthy, they are confident and they have had a week off to develop some plays for what seems to be a vulnerable Miami team. So which Seahawks are worthy of a start for your Fantasy squad this week – let’s take a look. Seahawks Fantasy Forecast for Week 12: QB Russell Wilson 20 rushing yards, 210 passing yards, 2 TDs Wilson just keeps getting better and with an extra week to prepare there is no reason to think his numbers will drop off this week. For Fantasy purposes, he is just average but there is no denying his upside. The Fins have allowed every opposing quarterback to score at least once and half the time they end up with 300 yards. Expect another moderate effort by Wilson with over 200 yards and two scores. RB Marshawn Lynch 100 rushing yards, 1 TD, 1 catch, 10 yards Lynch has four straight 100+ yard outings and he has scored in three straight. Against a defense that was made to look ordinary against CJ Spiller, Lynch should keep his role going on Sunday. He will get his 25+ touches yet again and produce just like he has all season. He is #2 in the NFL in rushing and is an every-week Fantasy start. WR Sidney Rice 5 catches, 60 yards, 1 TD Is the most consistent of the Seattle receivers and his rapport with Russell Wilson has developed every week. He has scored four TDs in his last four games and is suddenly a legitimate Fantasy flex-play. Rice has averaged 5 catches and 55 yards this season – no reason to think he will slip below that mark Sunday. Seattle’s defense is #3 against the pass and #7 against the run WR Golden Tate 4 catches, 60 yards, 1 TD His yardage numbers have been somewhat inconsistent but there is absolutely no denying his big-play ability. Tate has three TDs in his last two games and is Wilson’s favorite down-field target. I like him to score again this week even though he could put up a dud like he did against San Francisco. If you are a river-boat gambler Tate may be worth a shot but until I see more consistency, he will remain on the “too risky for me” list. TE Zach Miller 3 catches, 20 yards Miller has averaged just about three catches and 20-30 yards this season. Look for much of the same and keep him on your Fantasy bench this week. PK Steven Hauschka 2 FG 3 XP D/ST 300 yards, 3 sack, 1 Int. 1 FF Seattle will play without the benefit of the 12th man this week but they have to be salivating at the prospect of a team that possesses a rookie quarterback that appears to have hit the rookie wall already and with a running game that has lost its mojo. Seattle’s defense is #3 against the pass and #7 against the run and should be considered in the top tier or two this week as per usual. Start with confidence this week!
