Start ‘em & Sit ‘em Week 2

The Seattle Seahawks had a chance last week but just couldn’t deliver. This week they play host to the Dallas Cowboys, a team that made the defending Super Bowl champions look ordinary last week.

So who should we trust in Fantasy this week?

Which Seahawk is worthy of a start on your Fantasy squad? Let`s take a look and LET’S GO SEAHAWKS!

Seahawks Fantasy Forecast + Stats QB Russell Wilson

40 rush yards – 215 pass yards, 1 TD

Russell Wilson was shaky in his debut but he earned the respect of his coaches and his team.

He faces a tough pass rush and an emerging secondary this week but he should improve on his numbers from last week in his first start in front of an amped Seattle crowd.

He’s still too risky a Fantasy start at this point but Wilson showed that he is definitely an NFL starter.

RB Marshawn Lynch

100 rush yards, 1 TD, 2 catches, 10 yards

Marshawn Lynch shook off back spasms last week and provided decent numbers against a good Arizona defense. At home, Lynch is a different type of beast. He warrants a start this week for Fantasy purposes – with a full week of practice he will produce like a #1 Draft Pick this week!

Don’t forget he ran for 135 yards and a score last year versus Dallas in Seattle.

WR Sidney Rice

6 catches 75 yards, 1 TD

Sidney Rice should get a decent matchupagainst a rookie this week. Morris Claiborne looked OK against Victor Cruz last week but if Cruz held onto the ball he would have had a monster game. Rice is healthy and looking like the pro he is – I like him to catch Wilson’s only TD pass this week and post decent yardage numbers.

edwards td 630x457 Fantasy football forecast: Seattle Seahawks Week 2 NFL projections

Edwards will likely line up against the Cowboys high priced signing Brandon Carr this week

WR Braylon Edwards

4 catches 50 yards

Edwards will likely line up against Brandon Carr this week but based on his nine targets last week, Edwards is definitely on Russell Wilson’s radar. Although Edwards looks reborn we can’t look past the fact that Carr held Hakeem Nicks in check last week.

WR Doug Baldwin

2 catches -20 yards

He didn’t factor into the game plan last week and will likely take a back seat once again.

TE Zach Miller

3 catches, 20 yards

Miller caught three balls for 40 yards last week and will likely do similar this week. He is still not worthy of a Fantasy start but he may emerge on the radar with another decent performance.

PK Steven Hauschka

2 FG 2 XP

Defense/ST

1 sack, 1 interception

The Seattle defense was largely disappointing last week – unable to garner many Fantasy points against a sketchy Arizona team. I need to see more out of their pass rush before I’d plug them back in.

Tony Romo, DeMarco Murray, Dez Bryant, Miles Austin and Kevin Ogletree are coming to town. I expect a rough week defensively.

May be best to bench the Seattle D this week!

The Russell Wilson experience could be coming to an end in Seattle

Getty Images One of the biggest stories before the beginning of the season was how great Russell Wilson was. While Wilson was starting to get the hype like Tim Tebow did a year ago, things all changed drastically when the Seahawks were beaten by Arizona in week one. The Russell Wilson for President talks quickly quieted.  Wilson did not do that bad in week one against Arizona throwing...

Seahawks digital playbook or a copy of Madden 13

With week one of the NFL season in the books, 17 teams are celebrating and 16 are re-assessing their game plans. Savvy readers know the 17th team celebrating is none other than the Juggernaut that is EA Sports NFL Madden Franchise. Some fans of Madden maybe surprised to learn the “33rd franchise” is the only game series with access to the playbooks of all 32 NFL teams. Opting...

“The UDFA” – Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin in the spotlight

Seahawks All Access Last season, heading into training camp, Doug Baldwin was simply hoping to make the final roster.  Coming out of Stanford, it was easy to see that the young receiver was extremely talented, unfortunately, for his wallet, and fortunately, for the Seattle Seahawks, Doug didn’t have the “measurables”. He’s not extremely fast, he is extremely short, and although...

Report: Seahawks may bench Braylon Edwards in favor of Golden Tate

According to Eric D. Williams of the Tacoma News, it looks like there’s a good chance that wide receiver Golden Tate will take over as the Seahawks’ starting split.  Braylon Edwards has been starting in his spot since he got injured in training camp, but Edwards struggled against Patrick Peterson lat week. Seahawks receiver Golden Tate practiced fully for the first time since...

Touchdown Seahawks! Sidney Rice goes up to grab first TD of the year (video)

We want more! Every week it’s great to hear Steve Raible on the Seattle Seahawks radio broadcast yelling out “Touchdown Seahawks”, they are two words every 12th man can’t get enough of… Touchdown Seahawks! is a new weekly piece we will be bringing you, reviewing and breaking down the Seahawks top play from Sunday! Well week one’s finalists for top play came down to...

Seattle Seahawks: Week 2 NFL Power Rankings (#24)

Last week: 25 (+1) Record: 0-1 That sound you just heard was Russell Wilson’s bandwagon hitting a pole. As I’ve said all along, Wilson is far more likely to go the way of Quincy Carter, Chris Weinke, and Kyle Orton than Andy Dalton (the only 4 non-1st round picks to start at quarterback week 1 as a rookie since 1994). It certainly doesn’t help that his offensive line and receiving...

Report: WR Tate works with Seahawks' first unit

Golden Tate practiced with the Seattle Seahawks’ first-team offense Wednesday and could replace Braylon Edwards as the starter this week. The Tacoma News Tribune reported that Tate displayed good hands and speed while working with the first unit as the Seahawks prepared for Sunday’s game against Dallas. Edwards was the backup at split end. Edwards is coming off a less-than...

Kam Chancellor to play vs. 49ers

Strong safety Kam Chancellor is set to play for the Seattle Seahawks against San Francisco despite an ankle injury that limited him in practice this week. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said after practice on Wednesday that Chancellor would be able to go against the 49ers on Thursday night. Chancellor suffered a minor elbow injury against New England, but it was a sore ankle that limited...

Sidney Rice missed Wednesday’s practice with a knee injury

According to Rotoworld.com, Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice missed Wednesday’s practice with a knee injury. Rice is a heck of a player when he’s healthy, but it looks like it’s almost impossible for him to not get injured  We’ll be monitoring his status throughout the week.

Wilson shaky in Seahawks debut

(Eds: Adds details. With AP Photos.) Facing 80 yards and needing a touchdown with less than five minutes to play, Russell Wilson felt right at home. Wilson's rigorous preparation and attention to detail that helped earn him the starting job for the Seattle Seahawks as a rookie left him completely ready to face the task that lay in front of him. ''It wasn't any different...

Dallas Cowboys vs. Seattle Seahawks: Three Bold Predictions

Week One is officially in the books, and the season is under way. The Seahawks are coming off a close loss to the Cardinals, and will be looking to rebound at home in one of the loudest stadiums in the league. The Cowboys are coming off a big opening night win against division rival and Super Bowl champion New York Giants, and are looking to maintain their perfect record.I previewed...

The "Pete Caroll for Arkansas head coach meme" exists, is stupid.

It was inevitable this was going to happen. Current Seattle Seahawks head football coach Pete Caroll was once a lowly graduate assistant at Arkansas in 1977. Things aren't going as planned in Seattle. Things aren't a barrel of monkeys back in Fayettville these days either, what with that messy Bobby Petrino stuff during the offseason. Worse, The Razorbacks lost to Louisiana...

Five Seattle Seahawks who must impress vs. Cowboys Sunday

Sweet Revenge? The Seattle Seahawks have not had good luck against the Dallas Cowboys ever since the famed Wild Card game with the fumble heard ’round the world between the two teams. Since that game, Seattle has had to travel to Dallas for each matchup. This time…Dallas comes back to Seattle where Tony Romo is probably still having nightmares about. After last week’s loss...
