The New England Patriots are hosting the 0-2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers in rainy conditions later this afternoon. New England could use all the help they can get at the receiver position but it appears that two of their top offensive weapons might not see the field this afternoon.
WR Danny Amendola did participate in practice this week but is officially listed as doubtful and NFL Network reporter Albert Breer reports that it’s likely going to be two more weeks before Amendola returns to actual game time conditions.
Breer is also reporting that TE Rob Gronkowski is questionable to see action this afternoon. Breer believes Gronkowski will not see action, but if he does somehow manage to find the field, it will be very limited action.
Fantasy owners should prepare for Amendola to be out and look elsewhere at the tight end position.

I wanted to put off this preview for as long as possible, to see if Rob Gronkowski (questionable) or Danny Amendola (doubtful) would be definite locks to play this Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as either player, even hobbled, would give a big boost to what has been a decidedly struggling offense. Tom Brady and his receivers, outside of Julian Edelman, have been out of...
New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola completely tore the adductor longus tendon in his groin in the team's Week 1 victory over the Buffalo Bills two league sources told Yahoo Sports. And it might be the best thing for the Patriots that he did.
Doctors often treat chronic groin pain by snipping the adductor longus – one of the muscles in the groin – from the...
The New England Patriots have listed tight end Rob Gronkowski as questionable for this week’s game against the Buccaneers while Danny Amendola is doubtful with a groin injury.

NFL Media's Albert Breer reported earlier this week that Rob Gronkowski was unlikely to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. The Patriots are giving their fans some hope however.
New England listed Gronkowski (back/forearm) as questionable on its injury report Friday after being limited in practice all week. That's an upgrade from the first two weeks during which...
Stop us if you heard this one before, but Bill Belichick was tight-lipped about some injuries on Monday.
During his press conference on Monday, Belichick was asked about tight end Rob Gronkowski‘s availability on Sunday. Gronk, who didn’t suit up, was practicing last week and was believed to be a game-time decision, meaning he must have at least been somewhat close to playing...
The Patriots (3-0) came away with a pretty 23-3 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-3). I admit I was wildly pessimistic coming into this one, but if anyone predicted what was essentially a best-case-scenario for New England, I commend you. Here are some things of note:
Confidence, the name of the game
When Pats fans received the definite news that Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola...
Rob Gronkowski is inactive for the New England Patriots against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The star tight end hasn't played this season while recovering from forearm and back surgery. Among the other inactive Patriots on Sunday were wide receiver Danny Amendola with a groin injury and special teams captain Matthew Slater with a wrist injury.
The other inactive Patriots are running...
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is officially listed as questionable for today’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport does not expect him to play.
As I said on #GameDay First
The Patriots’ injury report says there’s a 50-50 chance we see Rob Gronkowski play this week.
The Patriots’ All-Pro tight end is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers. He was listed as doubtful in Week 1 and 2.
Danny Amendola is doubful with his groin injury, which means there’s a 25 percent chance he plays. Matthew Slater is the only player...
Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (back) is officially out for Week 3.Fantasy Spin:Gronk is definitely getting close and should be back in the lineup next week against the Falcons. Michael Hoomanawanui will get the start at tight end Sunday versus Tampa Bay.

DON'T WORRY STUDFELD'S BACK!
No surprises really on the Patriots injury report.
They will likely head into Sunday's matchup with the Bucs down one Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola. At least they'll have Zach Sudfeld though!
Matthew Slater ruled out, Danny Amendola doubtful for Sunday, Patriots say. Sudfeld probable. Gronkowski, 5 others are questionable.
The Patriots list TE Rob Gronkowski (back) as questionable for Week 3.Fantasy Spin:He's definitely getting close, but ProFootballTalk.com reported this week that Gronk is closer to doubtful than questionable. Fantasy owners should monitor the situation and have another tight end option ready for this week.
