It’s only the second week of the NFL regular season, but some fantasy football owners have to be concerned about the lack of production from some big name running backs. Yes, these players came with a warning label this season but still, some owners perhaps decided to take the risk as they slid own their draft boards and had hopes that they could be their team’s RB1 this year. It’s early, but if their recent performance is any indication of the season in store, it could be a long year for some fantasy owners.
Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson- Johnson has not been the same back after signing his mega deal last year. He does not seem to possess that same explosiveness which lead him to his 2,000 yard season in 2009. Last year’s sluggish performance could be attributed to his lengthy holdout, but this year, there should be no excuse. He has posted just 21 yards on 19 carries so far this season.
Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles- Charles is coming back from ACL surgery. He did recor...

Chris Johnson takes a veiled swipe at the Titans offensive line
Chris Johnson has picked up right where he left off this season. Unfortunately for Titans fans and his fantasy owners, that is a very bad thing. Johnson had a down year in 2011 and vowed to bounce back with a vengeance in 2012. Unless carrying the ball 19 times for 21 yards is bouncing back, CJNoK is off to a brutal start.
The main issue has been the Titans offensive line. Johnson...
Dear Chris Johnson: A Letter From A Fan Begging For Your Help
Dear Mr Johnson,When you were drafted to the Titans I was actually giddy. After seeing your blazing time during the 40 yard dash at the combine I had goosebumps when I thought about what you might be able to do for the Titans during your career. Flashes of Barry Sanders ran through my mind. When the Titans' first round pick came around and you were still on the board, I...

Muy Frio: Chris Johnson
I’m hanging my head in shame Juan…
I really had high hopes for Chris Johnson this season after his finished last year so strong. Jake Locker has not lived up to his potential and the defenses’ can smell the fresh blood. We all know opponents are going to stack the box knowing that Johnson is their only stud with big play ability. After seeing him week 2 he just looked...
Week 3 Rush Defense: The Burning Bush
Owners of Chris Johnson might be justified in their concerns thus far, but after two weeks, there are plenty of running backs who have yet to have the opportunity to break out for a huge fantasy game. One such player is Maurice Jones-Drew. Sure, he scored a TD off of a short pass in week 2, but rushing totals of 77 and 60 yards is not what we’ve come to expect from MJD. Don’t...
Scott Hanson Narrates My Sundays: Week Two Fantasy Notes
What Is Good With Chris Johnson?
Nothing. Absolutely, positively nothing.
21 yards in two games? Are you kidding me? I swear on all my extra pine tar that I would be able to get more yards than that in two games. I may not be able to walk again, but I’d get you 22 yards.
What’s the reasoning for the transformation from CJ2K to someone who is impressed with Cedric Benson’s...
