I see you reaching for the “drop” button, I am begging you don’t drop Carolina Panthers WR Brandon LaFell. I know he was one of the most talked about waiver wire pickups by all the fantasy “experts”, and you bought into starting him this week, expecting a big game. I feel your pain, I started LaFell in every league I could get him in, and I was hoping for some production. After watching the Panthers vs. Giants game I can’t put the blame on LaFell for lack of production. I know many of you are ready to cut him after a disappointing stat line (1 catch 27 receiving yards), but let me tell you why he is still worth a roster spot. Brandon LaFell really shined last week against the Saints, taking a reverse play for 25 yards, and racking up 6 receptions for 90 yards on 8 targets. His 8 targets led the Panthers, and was a reason for optimism. LaFell has always had talent, this was just the first year he was healthy and was given a shot at the No.2 job opposite of Smith. Through 2 games LaF...

Carolina Panthers: Not just a fantasy in 2012

When the Carolina Panthers used the first overall pick of the 2o11 draft on Cam Newton, they expected him to perform immediately. Newton set the stats board on fire making fantasy owners ecstatic as he cruised to Rookie of the Year honors. The Panthers however; were hampered by the worst defensive line in the league and only managed to win 6, missing the playoffs for the third year...

Seven reasons why the Panthers will defeat the Giants

Charlotte, NC. Week 2 in the NFL was a big one for a lot of teams, as half the league was dealing with the potential of starting the season at 0-2. This was the exact situation for the Carolina Panthers and New York Giants, as both lost their week 1 contests. Carolina bounced back with a nice home win over New Orleans, and looked very much like the team everyone saw for much...

Carolina Panthers crushed by Giants, 36-7

Charlotte, NC – Just when the Carolina Panthers had a great opportunity to make a statement – on prime time – they flopped. Just when they had a chance to come out and show the defending Super Bowl champs what they were made of, they flopped. The New York Giants crushed the Panthers 36 – 7 before 73,951 at Bank of America Stadium in a game that was not that close. Thursday...

Antrelle Rolle and Greg Olsen take out cameramen together

There was a scary moment towards the end of the New York Giants-Carolina Panthers game when Cam Newton's pass sailed over tight end Greg Olsen's head while he was being chased down by defensive back Antrelle Rolle. Both players rumbled into the sidelines taking down a couple of cameramen, respectively. Rolle tried jumping over a sitting photographer and caught his left...

Fantasy Football News: Fantasy Owners Should Still Sit DeAngelo Williams Even With Jonathan Stewart Unlikely To Play

The Carolina Panthers may be primed for an upset over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football this evening. The Giants will enter play without Hakeem Nicks and Ahmad Bradshaw on offense, and they are coming off of a very difficult win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just four days ago. I am not saying that the Panthers had a cake walk over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, but...

The Best Moments From Giants-Panthers Thursday Night

It had been three years since the Carolina Panthers were featured in a primetime game. A young upstart team with designs on relevance, the Panthers seized the opportunity last night, only to immediately let it go because there was a bed that needed to be shat upon. Carolina was thoroughly decimated in all facets of the game. If the Panthers weren’t prohibitively behind by halftime...

Giants, Panthers set to put on show on Thursday Night Football

Manning and Newton should put up big numbers tonight. New York Giants (1-1) @ Carolina Panthers (1-1) Last week, Eli Manning and the Giants were down 27-13 in the third quarter. What did Manning do? Nothing much, just led his team on five scoring drives including two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter.  He finished with 510 yards, 3 TDs, and 3 INTs. Not too shabby.  Cam...
