FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
Last year, Antonio Brown had a somewhat disappointing season, hauling in 66 catches for 787 yards and five touchdowns. After racking up 1108 yards last year, many expected Brown to repeat last year’s results and maybe even improve on them. However, that just simply didn’t happen and now it leaves people wondering whether Brown will rebound and pick up where he left off in 2011, or continue to mire in mediocrity that was last season.
The main issue with Brown last season was his lack of ability to break the big play. When he had his 1000 yard campaign in 2011, his ypc was 16.1. Last year, it was a mere 11.9. That really isn’t a pretty number. That moreso explains the lack of fantasy success from Brown than anything else, especially when you peer into his stats and see he had only three less catches last year. Yikes.
However, it’s not a...

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has been named to the NFL Competition Committee by Commissioner Roger Goodell, the NFL announced on Tuesday.
Tomlin, who has served on the Coaches Subcommittee of the Competition Committee since 2009, fills the position on the committee held through the 2012 season by former Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
According to recent sales figures from NFLShop.com, Washington Redskin quarterback Robert Griffin III had the top selling jersey, while the San Francisco 49ers had the highest teams sales. In fact, Griffin’s jersey sales set an all-time record.
As far as the Pittsburgh Steelers go, they finished fifth in team sales and safety Troy Polamalu finished 17th overall in individual sales...
Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert probably isn't shocked that the New England Patriots decided to sign restricted free agent wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders to an offer sheet. After all, it is only the third time since 2001 that it has happened.
In 2001, the Patriots signed Steelers restricted free agent running back Chris Fuamatu- Ma'afala to a one-year...
The Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly put Michigan State running back Le'Veon Bell through a private workout, and with that now being known, our scouting buddy Dave-Te' Thomas was kind enough to give us his detailed scouting report profile on him, which you can read below. Make sure to listen to the Thursday episode of the podcast as we had Thomas on for nearly a full hour...
There has obviously been a lot of talk regarding the poor quarterback class in this year’s NFL Draft and rightfully so. Especially when you compare the potential picks to last year’s haul which resulted in five starters in the league, this April’s draft class has tons to prove.
The other area that I don’t find particularly awe-inspiring is the running back position and there...
In a statement of ownership transaction released by the team, Jimmy Haslam III’s minority ownership stake in the Pittsburgh Steelers has officially been sold.
The Steelers that in a series of transactions approved by the NFL all of the Steelers stock owned by Haslam has been acquired, the majority of which was purchased by existing Steelers stockholders while the residual portion...
The way the offer sheet works is simple. The Steelers can either match the contract or the Patriots will have to hand over a 3rd round pick.
The Steelers have to decide if Sanders is worth the money that the Patriots want to sign him for or would they rather just have the draft pick.
The #Patriots will need to pay the #Steelers a 3rd round pick if the #Steelers chose not to match...
Jason La Canfora reports that the Patriots have submitted an offer sheet for Steelers restricted free agent WR Emmanuel Sanders.
Adam Schefter reports that the Patriots offer sheet is for just one year.
Schefter adds that the money involved “won’t be the determining factor.”
La Canfora mentions that the Steelers could approach S Troy Polamalu about restructuring his deal...
Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free agent Emmanuel Sanders
signed an offer sheet with the New England Patriots worth $2.5 million for one
year yesterday, according to Albert Breer of NFL.com. Now, the Steelers will
have five days to either match that offer or allow Sanders to walk and accept
the Patriots’ third-round draft pick.
It isn’t clear what direction the Steelers...
The Steelers need a big back, but the biggest and baddest has a reputation as a malcontent. Should the Steelers take a chance?
ESPN is reporting that Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, Emmanuel Sanders, has signed the Patriots offer sheet on a one-year deal. That is significant, because the Steelers have one of the leagues worst cap situations and tendered Sanders as an original round value. They can either choose to match the offer to Sanders or take a third round pick from New England.
With Sanders due...

As the New England Patriots try to upgrade their wide receiving corps, multiple sources are reporting this morning that they have signed restricted free agent wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders to an offer sheet. Both Jason LaCanfora and ESPN’s Adam Schefter are among those reporting this news.
This move now gives the already cash strapped Pittsburgh Steelers five days to match the...
