FF Locker Room:
Eric Decker, WR, Denver Broncos
FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
Eric Decker had a suspected breakout campaign last year, hauling in 85 balls for 1064 yards and 13 touchdowns. Little did I know he was going to be the second option in ppr formats on his own team. Despite teammate Demaryius Thomas being the top breakout star on the team, Decker did a very nice job. He didn’t have as many receptions as Thomas, but he was nearly just as effective and perhaps more surprising was that Decker tied for 7th for points scored among wide receivers. Not bad for a third year receiver with an old and rusty Peyton Manning at the helm.
Prior to the beginning of last season, Decker seemed like the perfect wide receiver for Manning to throw to and that held true to a point. We got to see everything that Decker does well in action last year. He was great after the catch and can gain separation quickly off the line, using double mov...

Every since the Denver Broncos‘ defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio signed his name in ink to take his place amongst John Fox’s staff in Denver it was assumed that linebacker would be the strongest position on...
According to reports from the Denver Post, defensive end Elvis Dumervil could be released as his $12 million base salary for 2013 carries a $13.6 million cap hit.
The Broncos are asking him to restructure, but they also believe they can replace him in the draft or during free agency.
The Denver Post also reported that former teammate of Peyton Manning, Dwight Freeney could be...
According to Albert Breer of NFL Network, the Broncos want defensive end Elvis Dumervil to take a pay cut. If he declines the Broncos may be forced to cut the talented edge rusher.
Dumervil is scheduled to make $12 million in 2013 and that’s a little too rich for the Broncos taste. Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com writes:
‘Dumervil is due to earn a base salary of $12 million...
I’ve finally come to terms with how quickly the season ended for the Denver Broncos, although it ended in a rather unexpected way. The team had finally started to gel behind quarterback Peyton Manning during the second half of their week six-game in San Diego where the Chargers were dominating on both sides of the ball. The Broncos came out in the second half as a team possessed...

The Denver Broncos have made big splashes in every offseason since 2009 — expect that trend to continue this spring.
Currently, the team appears to be jockeying to land All-Star cornerback Darrelle Revis via trade with the New York Jets. Allow us to connect the dots:
The Broncos have already been linked to Revis several times this...
The Denver Broncos are asking defensive end Elvis Dumervil to take a pay cut so they can create more salary cap room for free agency.
Dumervil signed a six-year, $61.5 million contract in 2010. He's scheduled to make $12 million in 2013.
The team wants him to take a cut or restructure his contract, according to a person familiar with the situation, who spoke to The Associated...
Vic Lombardi of CBS4 reports that the Denver Broncos are expected to approach DE Elvis Dumervil regarding a pay cut that would reduce his $12 million salary for the 2013 season.
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports adds that there’s a chance that this “situation could end up with his release.“
Dumervil, 29, has yet to meet with the Broncos regarding this matter. He has base...
If you follow Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller on Twitter, you may have thought he was being overly cocky with a tweet he sent out early Monday morning. Like so many have done before him and wound up falling flat on their faces, Miller guaranteed that the Broncos will win the Super Bowl next season.
You can post this where ever.. Denver broncos will win the Super Bowl 2013 #4UJEREMIAH...
A person familiar with the situation says the Denver Broncos were forced to cut defensive lineman Elvis Dumervil after a delay in getting paperwork completed on a new contract that both parties had agreed to.
The person who spoke to The Associated Press on Friday did not want to be identified because the negotiations were not public.
The Broncos, who wanted Dumervil to take a pay...
Elvis Dumervil is one half, not the better half, mind you, of ‘Doom and Gloom’, the Denver Broncos made up of Dumervil and All Pro Von Miller.
Considering the Broncos demands this week, the band may be breaking up. Dumervil signed a hefty 6 year, 61.5 million dollar contract in 2010 with the Josh McDaniels regime, just before John Elway joined the Denver front office.
A bit of...

We would not be surprised to see the Denver Broncos make a few splashes this offseason. Between the Darrelle Revis situation and the many big-name free agents about to hit the open market, chances are that Denver will be buzzed about this spring.
But once all of that buzz dies down, the draft will be right around the corner. The Broncos currently have...
