Joe Morgan, WR, New Orleans Saints
FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
This undrafted rookie from 2012 caught just 10 balls in 2012… so why did we bother profiling him in our 2013 fantasy football draft kit? Because with those ten receptions, he tallied 379 yards and 3 touchdowns. It’s safe to say that the Saints used Morgan for one thing, and one thing only, running fast.
And Joe did that quite well. He averaged nearly 38 yards per catch and is likely to take over for aging free agent veteran Devery Henderson, whom we all know to well as a fantasy tease. And for Joe Morgan, that could easily be what he turns out to be. He should assume Henderson’s role of running vertical routes and should have two or three great games in 2013. The problem is, that those games will be scattered and hard to predict.
If Joe can polish the rest of his route running and turn into more than just a one-trick-pony, then his value will sky-rock...
