I was always a bit skeptical when people came up to me and said Jones was going to easily be the top target and the guy to own in Atlanta. I always said that Matt Ryan wasn’t going to immediately go away from his favorite receiver of seven years, Roddy White, to give the bulk of the work to Jones. While Jones had four more points in standard leagues than White, the results were flipped in ppr leagues. Jones only beat him out thanks to the fluky TD numbers. Matt Ryan still went to White as his favorite, reliable target, although Jones got his fair share of work, hauling in 79 catches for 1198 yards and 10 TDs.
Now don’t get me wrong, Jones is a fantastic talent, he was going to have a great year and I really wasn’t hating on Jones. The problem last year, though, was that he was being over-drafted. White was going to have slightly better numbers, but wa...
