Lance Kendricks, TE, St. Louis Rams
FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
Lance Kendricks, the second year tight end out of Wisconsin, had a very solid sophomore season in 2012 for the St. Louis Rams. Becoming one of Sam Bradford’s favorite targets, Kendricks grabbed 42 receptions for 519 yards and 4 touchdowns. Sixty percent of his catches also went for first downs which is a tell-tale sign that Bradford trusts Kendricks in big play situations.
So what can you expect in 2013 for fantasy leagues out of Kendricks? The Rams may have an overhaul of talent on top of the depth chart and if that happens Kendricks likely would benefit from it. Heading into the season the young tight end is worthy of a late round pick as a backup TE2 type, but he will also have weeks in which he will play much higher than that draft ranking. Look for some improvement across the boards in his third year.
