Marcedes Lewis, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars Player Profile Height/Weight: 6-6/272 Birthdate: 5/19/1984 School: UCLA FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS Marcedes Lewis is one of those fantasy players that you know can have a solid game and give you some pretty good satisfaction, but usually he performs like a disappointing date which you met online. Looks good at first but turns butt ugly quick. The 2010 season will ring in many fantasy players ears for at least another year as he went for double-digit touchdowns and 700 yards on 58 receptions. But don’t let the new coaching staff fool ya, Lewis has performed unsatisfactorily for the remaining six years of NFL career. Head into 2013 with tempered expectations. There is a good chance that he will see more looks, specifically in the red-zone, which will make his fantasy football stock rise some. But even so, he should remain a TE2 in deeper fantasy formats. Lewis is best drafted late or left on the board. (Updated 3/10/13) UPDATES None. The post...

Jaguars continue rebuild, cut S Landry, CB Ross

The Jacksonville Jaguars have released safety Dawan Landry and cornerback Aaron Ross, veterans whose play failed to match their pay. The moves are the latest in the team's youth movement under new general manager Dave Caldwell and head coach Gus Bradley. The team previously released right tackle Guy Whimper and told veteran cornerback Rashean Mathis he would not be re-signed...

Jacksonville Jaguars: 3 Worst Free Agent Acquisitons

On the eve of free agency it is good to remember the errors of the past.  Yes, the Jacksonville Jaguars have a new owner, a new general manager and a new coach.  Let's hope the sins of the past will not be repeated in the present. The Jaguars enter the free agency period under the cap space.  They also enter the free agency period with lots of holes to fill. Before the new...

Bucs Rumors: Derek Cox inbound

Derek Cox might not have to wait long to find work. The free-agent cornerback isn't expected to rejoin the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he might remain in Florida, writes Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune. Cox isn't going to be mistaken for Darrelle Revis, but he would address an immediate need for the Buccaneers after the team finished with the league's worst pass...

Jaguars' offensive line could benefit from free agency

One of the major areas of concern for the Jaguars as they head into free agency and this year's draft is the state of their offensive line, which surrendered sacks all season long in 2012. The good news is that the draft and free agency both offer them routes to upgrade one of their weakest units, and even though general manager David Caldwell wants to build through the draft...

Jacksonville Jaguars: Free Agency Moves the Team Must Make

If it looks like a defensive end and walks like a defensive end and talks like a defensive end and is a defensive end who has ties to the community, shouldn’t the Jacksonville Jaguars want that defensive end?Let’s hope that when free agency begins April 12, the team brass has put Detroit Lions defensive end Cliff Avril at the top of its post-Christmas wish list.Avril, who played...

Redskins expected to be interested in CB Derek Cox

Cornerback Derek Cox is expected to be released by the Jacksonville Jaguars. And if he is the Washington Redskins are a team that could end up going after him, per Ryan O’Hallaran of the Florida Times-Union. The Redskins are expected to release DeAngelo Hall, so Cox could end up being a viable replacement.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script =...
