Matt Hasselbeck, QB, Tennessee Titans Player Profile Height/Weight: 6-4/225 Birthdate: 9/25/1975 School: Boston College FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS Having enjoyed a solid NFL career, Matt Hasselbeck’s days as being the lead quarterback for an NFL franchise seems to be fading. Rather than trying to lead the troops to victory he is now focusing more on grooming Jake Locker in hopes of developing the young gunslinger into a more well-rounded talent. Hasselbeck’s value, barring injury or an unexpected release, is minimal at best. And even if injury or landing on another team adds to his playing time, the veteran quarterback deserves to ride the waiver wire pine. His best days are definitely behind him. Fantasy Football Player Profile – Jake Locker, QB

Jake Locker, QB, Tennessee Titans Player Profile Height/Weight: 6-3/234 Birthdate: 6/15/1988 School: Washington FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS Jake Locker suffered through an injury filled 2012, being shelved for a 5-game span mid-season and really never got a groove going. To make matters a little more interesting, Locker is also recovering from offseason shoulder surgery. The good news...

The Titans didn't franchise Jared Cook, so now what?

Well, contrary to what everybody expected, the Tennessee Titans did not end up using the franchise tag on Jared Cook. The biggest sticking point seemed to be the issue I mostly dismissed in my franchise tag analysis, whether he would be considered a tight end or a wide receiver. This could have been avoided if the Titans and Cook could come to terms on a longer-term deal, but apparently...

Bears Expected To Show Interest In TE Jared Cook

Sean Jenson of the Chicago Tribune reports that a source has informed him that the Bears are “likely” to show interest in impending free agent Jared Cook in the coming weeks. The Bears have been rumored to be looking for an upgrade at tight end for a few years now, so it’s not surprising that they would at least consider a guy like Cook. Chicago brought in Aaron Kromer...

The holes on the Titans' depth chart heading into free agency

As I did last offseason, I thought it would be useful as a sort of macro overview of where the Titans stand in terms of holes on the depth chart. For purposes of this post, I'll be using a sort of hypothetical depth chart based on what might have been if everybody was healthy. Holes Filled Since the End of the Regular Season SS-?: Technically, the Titans don't have...

Titans to get feet wet in free agency market

NASHVILLE, Tenn. In making the biggest move of the off-season thus far, the Tennessee Titans did nothing. Coveted tight end Jared Cook did not receive the team's franchise tag by Monday's deadline for roster retention. Come Tuesday, should the Titans not be able to re-sign their 2009 third-round draft pick, Cook will enter the free-agency market. This past weekend, Cook...

When it comes to drafting players, NFL teams must know everything there is to know about every player. Whether it be stats, measurable, off the field behavior, etc. EVERYTHING is under the microscope. So why do so many teams screw up first round draft picks?Teams can only do so much to gain insight on how a player will develop.  The speed of the game is so much quicker than in college...
