Former Wisconsin star Owen Daniels backed up his 15-game played performance of 2011 by playing in another 15 during 2012, quieting some critics who have been critical to his injury proneness. That doesn’t mean you should be getting excited about Daniels and drafting him as a sure-fire solid TE1 option in deeper fantasy formats like many of the websites out there are already suggesting. I’d be skeptical if I were you.
Now I don’t want to come off as a negative Nancy. I really don’t. But let’s look at the signs. Daniels will turn 31 this season and while considered one of the better fantasy tight ends for quite some time, he actually only has one season in which he went over 768 receiving yards and has only three seasons in which he has gone for more than 3 touchdowns.
