FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
Considered amongst the elite fantasy football quarterbacks for several years, the Denver Broncos Peyton Manning endured several neck surgeries which cost him his last and final season with the Indianapolis Colts in 2011. Heading into 2012 it was anyones guess how the oldest Manning would bounce back, and to the surprise of many happy fantasy owners, he was close to his old self.
While the deep threat is gone from his arsenal game, Manning is as sharp as ever upstairs. Passing for almost 4,700 yards and 37 touchdowns, he was picked off only 11 times in 583 attempts.
Going into 2013, age is not on his side. Being one of the oldest quarterbacks in the league, this very well could be Manning’s last hurrah as a top-notch fantasy quarterback. Given the erosion of his physical tools it is even quite possible that the best is now behind him.
