Steve Smith, WR, Carolina Panthers Player Profile Height/Weight: 5-9/185 Birthdate: 5/12/1979 School: Utah FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS Steve Smith had another solid season with the Carolina Panthers. He hauled in 73 catches for 1174 yards and 4 touchdowns. It wasn’t spectacular by Smith’s standards, but it got the job done and he is still Cam Newton’s top target. One of the reasons that is still the case is because the Panthers just simply don’t have a second option after Smith. Last year, tight end Greg Olsen finished second on the team in receptions (68) and yards (843.) However, on the ideal team, Olsen would be the third or fourth option. It’s too bad we might not ever get to see Smith with another weapon on offense to take some pressure off.
