PLAYERS: Victor Cruz
TEAMS: New York Giants
Victor Cruz, WR, New York Giants (RFA) Player Profile Height/Weight: 6-0/204 Birthdate: 11/11/1986 School: Massachusetts FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS Victor Cruz took a chance last year. He had an opportunity to sign a multi-year contract last year, but he decided to hold out a year to hit restricted free agency and nab a bigger paycheck. While he didn’t necessarily duplicate his his second-year numbers last season thanks to an insane yards per catch average in 2011-12, he still was very productive. He ended up hauling in 86 catches for 1092 yards and 10 touchdowns. The only numbers that didn’t line up were his yards per catch average, but that was due to him playing in the slot more often than anything. Now, Cruz is indeed a restricted free agent, but the Giants aren’t in much danger losing him. They are going to do one of two things, resign him to a multi-year contract or match an offer that another team decides to offer him. In other words, I wouldn’t worry about him being in anoth...

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, there’s already a ton of interest in New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz as a restricted free agent and the new league year hasn’t even started yet. I can almost guarantee that there will be a mutiny in new York if the Giants let Victor Cruz walk away. NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport hears there...

Cornerback Cory Webster takes a big pay cut to stay in New York

According to Kimberly Jones of NFL Network, cornerback Cory Webster restructured his contract taking a pay cut to stay with the New York Giants. Webster's sub-par play in 2012 and his $7 million salary for 2013 was too rich for the Giants taste, and the fact the Giants are tight on salary-cap space.  Webster had his salary reduced to $4 million in the final year of his contract...
