Fantasy Football League sign-ups are going on now, I've updated rankings as I see them now. I don't see a lot of depth at RB anymore, especially with the way the the game is played now. There are so few teams with featured backs anymore. With team running two and three backs now the fantasy value of RB is not what it use to be. In most leagues the QB should be drafted first and after the first 15 RB, I think that the talent really drops off. Here's how I see them now: 1 Adrian Foster 2 Ray Rice 3 McCoy 4 MJD 5 Turner 6 CJ 7 Mathews 8 Forte 9 McFadden 10 Gore 11 Steven Jackson 12 Jamal Charles 13 Lynch 14 Bradshaw 15 AP ------------------------------ In my opinion, here is where things drop off. 16 Fred Jackson 17 Sproles 18 Trent Richardson 19 Shonn Greene 20 Green-Elis 21 Wells 22 Reggie Bush 23 Michael Bush 24 Starks 25 Mcgahee When I started Fantasy Football the RB was the most coveted position. Now, if you...

Ravens sign overrated Ray Rice to megadeal

Don’t get me wrong, Ray Rice is a a very good running back, but the Baltimore Ravens just dropped their shorts when they signed him yesterday. The terms of the deal? 5 years, $40 million and it calls to pay the running back $17 million this fall. You’ll probably going to point to the fact [...]

Rice, Forte Set the Bar

Over the past couple of seasons, Ray Rice and Matt Forte have emerged as two of the league’s top-five HBs. If you’re en elite running back in the NFL and are looking to negotiate a new, long-term deal, the contracts recently issued to Ray Rice and Matt Forte are good benchmarks to reference. With Rice set to make $40 million over the next five years and Forte $32 over the next...

Ray Rice Signs Deal Before Deadline

Running back Ray Rice has agreed to a five-year extension with the Baltimore Ravens. Fantasy Spin: The extension is believed to be worth $40M, and was agreed to shortly before the deadline to sign a player designated with the franchise tag. So Rice will not be a holdout for the start of training camp, and fantasy owners of the stud running back in dynasty leagues can breathe easy...

The Terrible Podcast – Talking Ray Rice Contract Structure & Angry Mike Wallace Email Episode

Season 2, Episode 126 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I start off by explaining how we are not playing up to the standard today after I lost the rerecording of our Tuesday morning interview with Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal. We had a great talk with Nate concerning the Cleveland Browns as they head into training camp, but unfortunately the file...

With Ray Rice Locked Up, is Ravens QB Joe Flacco Next?

The biggest story out of Ravens camp this offseason hasn’t been about Terrell Suggs’ injury, or Joe Flacco saying he thinks he’s the best quarterback in the league or even that Chuck Pagano bolted to coach the kids in Indy this year. Those were all key pieces to an odd offseason, but the Ray Rice dilemna was the biggest story during the break. Would he or wouldn’t he was...

Eagles News Digest, July 20 Edition: Michael Vick uses the D-word, pressure is on LeSean McCoy

Michael Vick used the D-word to describe the Eagles’ prospects this year. He said dynasty instead of dream team to compare the 2012 Eagles to the storied 49ers, Packers and Cowboys Super Bowl teams he admired while growing up. Vince Young’s dream team label seemed to have cursed Philadelphia last season. The dynasty tag might not, now that the Eagles have had a full offseason...

Early ADP Trends: Top 24 Overall for PPR Leagues

With a number of PPR mock drafts taking place recently, it’s time to start looking at some of the trends that are happening right now. It’s still fairly early in the process and there’s likely to be plenty more movement, but starting now allows you to properly formulate a draft strategy and then continue to fine tune it over the next few weeks as players continue to rise and...
