As we hope you will appreciate, the folks here at Football Nation.com have decided to do a series of fantasy football based articles. I have the inevitable task of trying to determine the fantasy value of the second round draft choice of the New England Patriots, Aaron Dob-son.Aaron was a disappoint as far as statistics were concerned in his last season at Marshall University. Though he caught 50 plus balls and had over 500 yards in receptions, he was targeted some 92 times and ironically he had no recorded drops. Almost a conundrum! His fantasy value with the Patriots could go either way, and they depend upon what the rest of the receiving corps looks like personal wise, and how they perform as a unit. I could see him either a bust or as a surprise! As it stands right now he has made some really good catches in the OTA's, but conversely he has also dropped some all by myself catch able balls. His progress is a one day good, one day bad type of start. So when trying to determine i...

Tim Tebow Lands on Cover of Boston Herald With ‘Good God!’ Headline, on Daily News With ‘God Help Us’ Tag (Photos)

Expectations may be decreased for Tim Tebow as he starts Phase III of his career in New England, but that doesn’t mean headline writers in the region won’t have to step up their game. With Tebow coming to town, tabloids in the Northeast are ready to bust out their best puns. While Tebow isn’t expected to have the media access he had with the Jets, he’ll still be the main...

Did the Patriots Do Enough This Offseason?

After a disappointing AFC Championship against the Baltimore Ravens, the New England Patriots entered this offseason looking to fill in some holes and try to make it to the next level. New England did make some moves, but was it enough? Could the Patriots have done more? I'll take a look at the Patriots moves this offseason and see if they did enough. NFL Draft The New England...

New England Patriots sign Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow will get one more chance in the NFL. After a offseason of questions concerning his future the 25-year-old Tebow was signed by the New England Patriots before minicamp begins on Tuesday. There had long been rumored a spot in New England with Josh McDaniels serving as the play caller. McDaniels drafted Tebow when he was the head coach of the Denver Broncos. In order to clear...

Belichick not judging Tebow yet

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick isn't ready to give his impressions of Tim Tebow after one practice. Belichick says he's not getting into a ''minute-by-minute'' evaluation of his new backup quarterback. Tebow practiced for the first time with the Patriots on Tuesday after signing with the team. The Patriots are holding their three-day minicamp that...

Tim Tebow Is ‘Talented Player That’s Smart and Works Hard,’ According to Bill Belichick

FOXBORO, Mass. — Bill Belichick has faced the Tim Tebow circus and he’s handling the new signal caller just like any other player on the Patriots roster. Belichick was faced with countless Tebow questions and didn’t give out much information. The most he had to say is that Tebow is a “talented player that’s smart and works hard.” Belichick saw the media conglomerate and...

Belichick puts the kibosh on Tebowmania

If anyone thought that the Patriots wouldn't be able to handle Tim Tebow and all the fanfare he brings with him, they clearly underestimated head coach Bill Belichick's dementor-like ability to suck all the happy-go-lucky feelings out of the room. Case in point, in Belichick's first press conference since the news broke, he fielded countless questions about Tebow...

Tebow lands but 'circus' snuffed

The immediate reaction to Monday's news of quarterback Tim Tebow signing with the New England Patriots was filled with eye rolls and grand sarcasm on Twitter. "The circus" was coming to Foxborough. A cult-like media swarm, one that craves news on all things Tebow in a 24/7 cycle, was destined to shake even the most media-savvy of NFL franchises. "Tebowmania"...

Tim Tebow Inks Deal With New England, Good Signing!

As my day started I opened my browser on my computer to read that The New England Patriots, have signed Tim Tebow to a contract. My first reaction was this is good for both parties, Tim Tebow needed a place to ply his trade, and the Patriots needed another QB to come in and compete for a job.Though the Patriots already had Ryan Mallet and Mike Kafka on their roster as back up QB...

This Bill Belichick and Tim Tebow .GIF Is Fantastic

Tim Tebow: The Pros And Cons

Patriots Insiders share six reasons why signing Tim Tebow would be a good/bad thing for New England.

Stallworth works out with Redskins

Donte Stallworth has a simple way of explaining what it's like to be riding in a hot air balloon that clips a power line. ''It felt exactly like the cartoons,'' he said. ''When you see people getting electrocuted on cartoons, that's exactly what it felt like.'' Except that it's not funny. The veteran NFL receiver suffered serious burns...

New England Patriots cut Northwestern star QB Mike Kafka

Tim Tebow is Kakfaesque. Sort of. Yes, the New England Patriots signing of Tebow yesterday squeezed quarterback Mike Kafka out of the NFL. The Patriots released him yesterday just months after signing him to a futures contract. No reason to write any further about Tebow signing with the Pats, other than mentioning the fact that he’ll likely be QB3 on the depth chart. QB1 is Tom...

Report: Patriots work out former Colts WR Austin Collie

According to multiple reports, the New England Patriots worked out former Indianapolis Colts wide reciever Austin Collie on Tuesday. This doesn't come as a surprise as the team is still searching for competition  for the wide reciever position for training camp next month. Collie, who was a fourth round draft pick by the Colts in 2009 has had an up and down career when it comes...

Wes Welker has parting shots for the Patriots

Wes Welker was not re-signed by the New England Patriots, causing a shockwave around the Boston area but certainly not surprise. The team's best receiver over the past five years or so, Welker moved from Tom Brady to Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. He hasn't talked much about it since, but he recently opened up a bit. Much more than he would've if he'd had...
