A group of relatively unowned players finished among the top scorers from Week 9. But do any of these guys deserve to be owned?TE Brandon Myers, Oakland: Week 9 vs. Tampa Bay: 8 Receptions, 59 Yards, 2 Touchdowns. 5.3 percent owned Rank 1Myers had the 7th most overall points scored in most fantasy leagues after his performance on Sunday. Meyers has been consistent all year. He's currently ranked fifth in receiving yards amongst tight ends (442) and tied fourth in receptions (39). This was Myers fifth double digit point performance and also the fifth game in which he had caught five balls or more. On Sunday he was targeted a team high 13 times. He's clearly become Carson Palmer's security blanket. The only reason his name doesn't pop is due to his lack of touchdown production.Sunday was the first two scores of Myers career. However, with the amount of production he is putting up with receptions and yards, there is no reason that he should be available in 94.7 percent...
BEST OF MAXIM
Oakland QB Carson Palmer amassed a season-high 414 passing yards Sunday in a 42-32 loss to Tampa Bay.Fantasy Spin:Throwing for 400 yards looks good on paper but in reality, Palmer really wasn't all that sharp. Though he did distribute four touchdown passes, Palmer also gave away three interceptions while completing just 39 of his 61 throws. The good news for Palmer owners is...
What was becoming evident throughout the first half of the season is now patently obvious. As much as running back Darren McFadden was touted as the player whose success was most important to the team, it's clear the Raiders will rise or fall with quarterback Carson Palmer. Now that McFadden and backup Mike Goodson both have high ankle sprains, with their status for Sunday...
Oakland Raiders Terrelle Pryor is the future of this Raider franchise. That is clear at this point with the issues this season established to not be fixable in 2-3 seasons at least. Carson Palmer has been a bright spot for Raider Nation in a bleak season that is only going to get worse before it gets better, but it might be time to give Pryor the keys to the city now. As much as...
What a heartbreaking loss for the Raider Nation. The Oakland Raiders were able to score 22 points in the fourth quarter, including 15 unanswered, to be one field-goal away from tying the scoreboard on what would have been an incredible comeback. Unfortunately, the 35 points scored by the Buccaneers in the second half ended up being too much to overcome [...]

There have been some stellar performances and a few injuries that may just help you add some roster depth. Here are your Week 10 Fantasy Football Pickups. Quarterbacks Carson Palmer, Raiders…
The fantasy football season is flying by as we head into week ten already. We are in the home stretch and you are hopefully playing for a playoff berth in your respective fantasy league. The bye weeks are drawing to a close but there are some injury issues with several key fantasy players, so you might need to hit the fantasy football waiver wire this week to fill a roster spot....
Week 10 is not a week that will turn around your fantasy football season. You won't find many gems out there, yet there are a few safety valves that are worthy pickups if you need a bye-week substitute or want to take a flyer on a couple of gambles.
Start Em’ QB - Ben Roethlisberger PIT, Carson Palmer OAK, & Tony Romo DAL
Looking at Roethlisberger’s remaining schedule you have to pretty much love all his matchups. I would be shocked to not see him with at least two touchdowns this week. Carson Palmer against the Ravens? Yes sir! With McFadden out you should see Palmer throw it upwards to 40 times this week with an...
Carson Palmer, Raiders
Yesterday's fantasy conquest (414 yards, four touchdowns, albeit with three interceptions) is fresh in everyone's mind, yet Palmer's figure of 294.4 yards per game is fourth-best in the AFC. Given that Oakland's upcoming schedule features exploitable pass defenses in Baltimore, New Orleans, Cincinnati, Kansas City and Carolina, Palmer...
My second home was louder than roaring cannons, Sunday.
My voice was hoarse.
My skin was sweaty.
My armor, heavy.
My family, happy and for once. Optimistic.
It seemed like that Oakland magic was about to rear its pretty little head again. You all have seen it before.
After security took my lightsaber away, after I attended the Coliseum minutes late...
Last week: 30 (-1)
Oakland/Tampa Bay was a crazy game for statistics. Everyone knows about Doug Martin’s 272 total yards and 4 total touchdowns, which was the 4th highest single game fantasy football total in history. However, we also had Carson Palmer throw for 414 yards and 4 touchdowns in a losing effort for just the 7th time in NFL history. Meanwhile, because of...
