As we head into the 2012 off-season, two things stand out. The first being that the position lays claim to the most clear-cut #1 of any position, in the form of the Lions’ Calvin Johnson. While Megatron certainly dominates the position, the second thing that becomes apparent as you look at our rankings, is that WR depth this year, unlike the RBs, is plentiful.
You could make the argument that the next twenty guys or so are deserving of top ten rankings, with names making our “just missed” list that you would be more than happy to have as your starting receivers. Even our numbers two through ten could be shuffled in a variety of orders and seem justified.
Long story short, if you don’t leave the draft with a couple top WRs next year, you will be starting from a big disadvantage.
