New England Patriots
St. Louis: You just can’t help but feel sorry for the Rams. After getting over 40 points laid on them in a beating from the Patriots in London during Week 8, the Rams bookend their Week 9 bye with a trip to division rival San Francisco for what is inevitably another thorough beatdown. The 49ers' defense is also coming off their bye, is rested, and ready to go out and win the NFC division crown. If you own any Rams players, this is the perfect game to send them to the bench. Yes, even kicker Greg Zuerlein, as I doubt the Rams will get enough opportunities to actually kick many field goals or extra points. The one player I might consider is Chris Givens, who catches at least one 50-yard pass every game; if anyone is going to gash the 49ers for a long TD, it’s Givens.Good Start: NoneMiddle of the Road: WR Chris GivensBad Start: Every other Rams player San Francisco: There’s just the sense that this game is not going to end well for the Rams, and that it’s going to get ugly early. Givens' absence should mean even more targets for the returning Danny Amendola.

Half way through his third season in the NFL, former first overall selection Sam Bradford find himself as one of the most polarizing athletes in all of St. Louis.
Some believe that if head coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Sneed can surround Bradford with the right talent, that the quarterback will flourish into one of the NFL's elite quarterbacks. Bradford has his...
Chris Long has been playing against the San Francisco 49er's twice a year since he has come into the Nation Football League.
This one however, is the first time this late in the season that the game still actually matters. The 3-5 Rams still have playoff aspirations, and an upset of the 6-2 49ers would be a great stepping stone. Jeff Fisher has brought a new attitude to St...

Rams receiver Danny Amendola caught 11 passes for 102 yards Sunday against the 49ers in his return to the lineup after a three-game absence.Fantasy Spin:Amendola is clearly Sam Bradford's favorite target and the only Rams receiver who can get open consistently. The receiver actually beat San Francisco deep for an 80-yard reception on the first drive of overtime but it was called...
St. Louis Rams (3-5) at San Francisco 49ers (6-2)
The rule of thumb in NFC West divisional matchups is to always take the home team. Since 2007, the NFC West is 104-77 in general at home and they have not only the best ATS winning percentage of any division in football in that time period, they also have the winning home/road winning ATS percentage disparity of any division in football...
There is no mystery when the tape goes on and teams watch their opponent in preparation for that week's game. So it is that the Rams will face a team as physical as there is in the NFL when they travel to San Francisco Sunday. The 49ers have won 11 consecutive division games at home, and this season in two division wins over Seattle (home) and Arizona (road) they have allowed...
ST. LOUIS It has become the beast in the basement. It's too large to ignore, too heavy to show the door.
Got a convention hall? The St. Louis Rams could use a place to put their elephant in the room.
There's no other way to say it: The Rams struggle to find the end zone. Touchdowns have been as easy as root canals for this group of late, and the competition won't...
