check out the Bruno Boys Week 2 Fantasy Running Back Rankings and let them do the analyzing for you.
??????????????????????????????-
1. Shaun Alexander (SEA) at Arizona
Alexander is healthy again and he should be a great play this week. The Cardinals defense did a good job of containing Gore, but look for Alexander to have his way in the desert.
Point Projection: 26 points
??????????????????????????????-
2. Travis Henry (DEN) vs. Oakland
Henry is like a fine wine ? he just seems to get better with age. Playing as a Bronco at home against the Raiders certainly helps as well.
Point Projection: 24 points
??????????????????????????????-
3. LaDainian Tomlinson (SD) at New England
LT proved that you can only him down for so long. The Patriots are a good defense for sure, but not as good as the Bears.
Point Projection: 24 points
??????????????????????????????-
4. Joseph Addai (IND) at Tennessee
Addai would've been a strong candidate for the top spot this week but the Titans always play the Colts tough. Still, it's hard to imagine they will be able to contain Indy's back the entire game.
Point Projection: 22 points
??????????????????????????????-
5. Brian Westbrook (PHI) vs. Washington
Washington's defense did little to improve in the offseason and the Eagles play a lot better at home. Westbrook will be heavily involved in this game.
Point Projection: 22 points
??????????????????????????????-
6. Willie Parker (PIT) vs. Buffalo
The Bills defense had no answer for Henry in week 1 and won't have an answer this week for the league's fastest back.
Point Projection: 21 points
??????????????????????????????-
7. Steven Jackson (STL) vs. San Francisco
It was a tough week 1 for Jackson and the 49ers defense has certainly improved. Despite losing all-pro Orlando Packe for the season, Jackson is likely rebound from a dismal first week.
Point Projection: 20 points
??????????????????????????????-
8. Adrian Peterson (MIN) at Detroit
With Chester Taylor suffering a hip injury, Peterson will get a lot of carries against a defense that allowed over 300 passing yards and three touchdowns to the lowly Raiders.
Point Projection: 20 points
??????????????????????????????-
9. Reggie Bush (NO) at Tampa Bay
The entire Saints team was caught by surprise at how good the Colts were on defense. Bush's speed will prove too much for the Buccaneers defense this week.
Point Projection: 20 points
??????????????????????????????-
10. Rudi Johnson (CIN) at Cleveland
Johnson found the going tough against the Ravens. Week 2 will be the opposite.
Point Projection: 20 points
??????????????????????????????-
11. Maurice Jones-Drew (JAX) vs. Atlanta
Jones-Drew got more carries and ran better than Fred Taylor in week 1. Week 2 may be when he establishes himself at the Jags No. 1 back.
Point Projection: 19 points
??????????????????????????????-
12. Frank Gore (SF) at St. Louis
Gore showed he's still got some rust to shake off after sitting out the preseason with an injury. The Rams have improved their defense but still have some holes.
Point Projection: 19 points
??????????????????????????????-
13. Clinton Portis (WAS) at Philadelphia
Portis still has to share time with Ladell Betts, but proved he still can find the end zone. He may not get many yards against the Eagles, but will score.
Point Projection: 17 points
??????????????????????????????-
14. Cedric Benson (CHI) vs. Kansas City
Benson is dangerously close to becoming a bust. Luckily for him, he gets to run against the Chiefs in week 2.
Point Projection: 17 points
??????????????????????????????-
15. Derrick Ward (NYG) vs. Green Bay
Coming off the bench and gaining 116 yards and one touchdown against a tough Cowboys defense was impressive. The way the Giants play offense, Ward should play well against the Packers.
Point Projection: 16 points
??????????????????????????????-
16. Marion Barber III (DAL) at Miami
Again Barber made a case to be the Cowboys starter with a solid week 1 performance against the Giants. He'll have a better game against the Dolphins.
Point Projection: 16 points
??????????????????????????????-
17. Chris Brown (TEN) vs. Indianapolis
Nobody had a better ? or more surprising ? week 1 than Brown did. The Colts defense was impressive against the Saints but the Titans always play well against Indianapolis.
Point Projection: 15 points
??????????????????????????????-
18. Larry Johnson (KC) at Chicago
Looks like holding out may not have been the best idea for Johnson in terms of on the field performance. Chiefs coach Herm Edwards said Johnson has his feet under him and could see 30 carries in this game, but running room against the Bears will be tough to find.
Point Projection: 15 points
??????????????????????????????-
19. DeShaun Foster (CAR) vs. Houston
For a guy that was supposed to almost hand his starting job over, Foster had a solid week 1. Houston's defense may be improved, but the Panthers are much better than the Chiefs and it will show.
Point Projection: 14 points
??????????????????????????????-
20. Willis McGahee (BAL) vs. New York Jets
McGahee looked tentative in his first regular season start for the Ravens against a defense not well known as run stoppers. Now with tackle Jonathon Ogden out, who knows what to expect out of this offense.
Point Projection: 13 points
??????????????????????????????-
21. Edgerrin James (ARI) vs. Seattle
James is a much better runner on turf and will enjoy playing the Cardinals home opener against the Seahawks.
Point Projection: 13 points
??????????????????????????????-
22. Ronnie Brown (MIA) vs. Dallas
For a defense that's supposed to be good, the Cowboys did not look so good against the Giants. Brown should find the end zone and more yards in the Dolphins home opener.
Point Projection: 12 points
??????????????????????????????-
23. Brandon Jackson (GB) at New York Giants
Jackson did about what was expected of him in week 1 against the Eagles. It's nice to see Jackson implemented in the passing game as well as the running game.
Point Projection: 11 points
??????????????????????????????-
24. Jamal Lewis (CLE) vs. Cincinnati
Even behind a crappy offensive line, Lewis will have a good week against the Bengals, who've never had an easy time tackling the former Raven.
Point Projection: 10 points
??????????????????????????????-
25. Julius Jones (DAL) at Miami
It's starting to seem that Jones gets the yards and Barber gets the touchdowns. It'll likely be the same story this week.
Point Projection: 9 points
??????????????????????????????-
26. Laurence Maroney (NE) vs. San Diego
Without their spies, the Patriots rushing offense could suffer this week. Plus, it doesn't help that they have to play against a swarming Chargers defense that should be able to limit Maroney.
Point Projection: 9 points.
??????????????????????????????-
27. LaMont Jordan (OAK) at Denver
Jordan isn't much of a match with Denver's speedy linebackers, but the Raiders used him well in week 1 and the Broncos did allow a rookie to rush for 90 yards and a touchdown. Still, Jordan won't be able to replicate last Sunday's performance.
Point Projection: 8 points
??????????????????????????????-
28. Marshawn Lynch (BUF) at Pittsbrugh
Lynch did well against Denver. Let's see how well he handles an even stingier run defense.
Point Projection: 8 points
??????????????????????????????-
29. Thomas Jones (NYJ) at Baltimore
Nothing's wrong at all with the Ravens run defense. Rudi Johnson had a horrible game against Baltimore and Jones likely won't do much better.
Point Projection: 7 points
??????????????????????????????-
30. Cadillac Williams (TB) vs. New Orleans (QUESTIONABLE)
Cadillac is suffering from bruised ribs and his status for Week 2 is undertain. The matchup against the Saints is a good one, but will the injury hinder his production? Check back on his injury status!
Point Projection: 7 points
