Shatter The Backboard:
While some of you will be interested in seeing how your higher draft picks who have been under-performing do in Week 3, (Chris Johnson, Jamaal Charles, Larry Fitzgerald, Eric Decker, etc,) others more fortunate are looking to improve on what they already have. So here are this week’s pickups for you to consider:
Brandon LaFell-WR-Panthers- He really impressed Ron Rivera, Carolina’s coach after his six catch-90 yard performance on Sunday. “He’s developing into a fine receiver”, said Rivera. We liked that he was targeted eight times and are really high on his 17.2 YPC average over the first two weeks.… Ream more

I see you reaching for the “drop” button, I am begging you don’t drop Carolina Panthers WR Brandon LaFell. I know he was one of the most talked about waiver wire pickups by all the fantasy “experts”, and you bought into starting him this week, expecting a big game. I feel your pain, I started LaFell in every league I could get him in, and I was hoping for some production...
There was a scary moment towards the end of the New York Giants-Carolina Panthers game when Cam Newton's pass sailed over tight end Greg Olsen's head while he was being chased down by defensive back Antrelle Rolle.
Both players rumbled into the sidelines taking down a couple of cameramen, respectively.
Rolle tried jumping over a sitting photographer and caught his left...
Last season, we saw how far the Carolina Panthers had come from the abysmal 2-14 team that couldn’t move the ball against a squad of determined Girl Scouts.
Last night, we saw how far they still have to go.
The New York Giants massacred the Panthers 36-7 in front of their home crowd in a game that was practically over as soon as it started.
Despite playing without three...
Charlotte, NC – Just when the Carolina Panthers had a great opportunity to make a statement – on prime time – they flopped. Just when they had a chance to come out and show the defending Super Bowl champs what they were made of, they flopped. The New York Giants crushed the Panthers 36 – 7 before 73,951 at Bank of America Stadium in a game that was not that close.
The Carolina Panthers were blown out by the New York Giants and Panthers Pro-Bowl receiver was less than thrilled with his quarterback Cam Newton behavior both during the game and afterwards when Newton took to the podium. Is Smith coming out and making comments about Newton’s behavior productive to the team? Newton clearly was not happy with his performance in the game, he is...
The Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was pressured into submission against the Giants pass rush, Newton didn’t look like the Cam Newton the fans have come to know. Cam Newton only rushed for 6 yards on 6 attempts, if someone would have said Newton would average only one yard per rushing attempt, people would have thought they needed a head examination. Cam Newton is a...
The Carolina Panthers may be primed for an upset over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football this evening. The Giants will enter play without Hakeem Nicks and Ahmad Bradshaw on offense, and they are coming off of a very difficult win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just four days ago.
I am not saying that the Panthers had a cake walk over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, but...
Former Spartanburg High School and Carolina Panthers football star Stephen Davis is under arrest in Lexington County.
Davis was arrested Wednesday after investigators say he avoided paying retail taxes for a nightclub he owned.
According to the South Carolina Department of Revenue, Davis was arrested on Wednesday and charged with operating a business without a license.
It had been three years since the Carolina Panthers were featured in a primetime game. A young upstart team with designs on relevance, the Panthers seized the opportunity last night, only to immediately let it go because there was a bed that needed to be shat upon.
Carolina was thoroughly decimated in all facets of the game. If the Panthers weren’t prohibitively behind by halftime...

The New York Giants have played poorly in two home games early in the year, and could easily be 0-2. The Giants should use their come from behind victory against the Buccaneers as a catalyst to get back on track. If the Giants can do at least 5 of these 7 things tonight than they will come out on top guaranteed.
What will the replacement refs...
Manning and Newton should put up big numbers tonight.
New York Giants (1-1) @ Carolina Panthers (1-1)
Last week, Eli Manning and the Giants were down 27-13 in the third quarter. What did Manning do? Nothing much, just led his team on five scoring drives including two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter. He finished with 510 yards, 3 TDs, and 3 INTs. Not too shabby. Cam...
