Jacksonville: In Week 7, the Jaguars lost Maurice Jones-Drew to a sprained foot, Blaine Gabbert to a shoulder injury, and ultimately lost the game in overtime to the Oakland Raiders. MJD’s injury is the biggest concern, as there’s no real time table yet for his return.Gabbert should be back this week, but really does that matter? Maybe to Gabbert’s mom, but certainly not to fantasy owners. The only thing that matters here is who Clay Mathews will get to sack this week.If you’re going to pick any part of the passing game here to play, the one you want is Cecil Shorts. Shorts played well last week and is being given the chance to be the playmaker that the Jaguars have lacked in the passing game since, oh… Jimmy Smith? If you’re hurting for a flex play this week because of the bye weeks, you could probably do worse than Shorts. As for the running game, Rashad Jennings will be doing his best MJD impression. He isn’t as talented as Jones-Drew, but he has shown he can get the job done wh...

The Jaguars received bad news on Tuesday about the injury their starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert suffered on Sunday to his non-throwing shoulder. Most assumed that suffering a torn labrum would keep Gabbert out for a significant amount of time, but he wants to play this Sunday against the Packers if doctors will clear him to. A torn labrum requires surgery to repair, but...
Injured Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert intends to play Sunday. Gabbert is dealing with a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder.
Since Gabbert’s throwing shoulder and arm are not affected it stands to reason that he should be able to play. Gabbert though has not topped 200 yards passing since the first week of the season and without running back Maurice Jones...
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- It's not easy being the 1-5 Jacksonville Jaguars. Ranked near the bottom of the league in every major statistical category, the team started its week by having to rule out three-time Pro Bowl running back Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) from this Sunday's game against the Packers. There also was some concern whether the injury suffered by quarterback Blaine Gabbert...
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert expects to play Sunday at Green Bay despite an injured non-throwing shoulder.
Coach Mike Mularkey says Gabbert will take all the snaps in practice Wednesday -- good news for a team that lost star running back Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) for an extended period.
Mularkey and Gabbert declined to discuss specifics...
With less than 24 hours until game time, the Jacksonville Jaguars seem to be unsure about quarterback Blaine Gabbert’s injured shoulder.
The Jaguars upgraded John Parker Wilson to the active roster from the practice squad Saturday night, the Associated Press reports.
That could be an indication that the team's confidence in Gabbert’s torn labrum in his non...
We’ve seen some big fantasy injuries this year, but the “foot” injury Maurice Jones-Drew suffered against the Raiders could rank as the highest this year. MJD ran for a mere 6 yards on 2 carries against the Raiders. It originally appeared that he tweaked something as trainers looked at him on the sidelines. But once the team brought the cart to take him to the locker room,...
Here we are — the halfway point of the NFL season and six weeks away from the start of the fantasy postseason for many. Injuries are making lineup...
Last week: 29 (-2) Record: 2-4 I went back and forth between the Raiders and Chiefs here, but I ultimately decided to drop the Raiders to this spot, in spite of their overtime home win. If you need Blaine Gabbert to get hurt to beat the Jaguars in overtime at home, you might as well [...]
Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5) at Green Bay Packers (4-3) So apparently Chad Henne is worse than Blaine Gabbert? I didn’t even know that was possible. Before he got hurt, Gabbert looked serviceable against Oakland’s terrible secondary last week, completing 8 of 12 for 110 yards and a touchdown. However, then Henne came in and went 9 [...]
It’s time for Week 7 Injury Analysis. While there weren’t a lot of injuries, significant ones did occur that are likely reshaping all of your fantasy leagues. Once again, feel free to comment about the posts or to ask about other players you're interested in that were not listed below.
Maurice Jones-Drew: Jones-Drew is another of many who have suffered a foot injury...
Packers receivers Greg Jennings and James Jones are engaged in a prank war, with Jennings landing the latest salvo. This gives me a big Dougie smile:
The Packers’ wide receiver, who’s still out with a groin injury, pulled a fast one on teammate James Jones on Monday when he had a local automotive service remove the tires from Jones’ Chevy Avalanche and place it on blocks during...
Despite perhaps having more players injured than at any time since 2010, a beat-up Green Bay Packers team has a few things going in its favor today: they are playing at home for the first time in nearly a month, and the 1-5 Jacksonville Jaguars are the opponent. Now, in any given game...blah blah blah. If this is that kind of game, Packer fans, we should all fill our pockets with...
The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5) travel to historic Lambeau Field on Sunday to face the Green Bay Packers (4-3), in what will undoubtedly be Jacksonville's biggest test this season. With Maurice Jones-Drew out of the lineup this week, after sustaining a foot injury against the Raiders last week, RB Rashad Jennings will get the start. If the Jaguars hope to have any chance in this...
