Roddy White simply shined last year. In a year where he was expected to be overtaken as the #1 receiver on his team, he kept the spot locked down thanks to his 92 catches for 1351 yards and 7 touchdowns. Despite the great season, it appears he soon will be the #2 receiver on the team, with teammate Julio Jones cutting in on his targets last year (2011: 181, 2012: 143.) Despite having the lowest targets since 2007, he still hauled in a whopping 92 catches, which makes for an incredibly efficient receiver and goes to show why Matt Ryan still throws the ball to him.
However, I mentioned Julio Jones earlier, who is going to be even more prominent in the offense again this year, but what I didn’t mention is that White is going to turn 32 in November. Now, White might be the type of player that can be productive late into his career, but he is ...
