Expectations for Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker immediately increased with the addition of star signal-caller Peyton Manning over the offseason.

The 6-3, 229-pound wide out showed signs of great things to come in 2011, most notably when he torched the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ defense in the first round of the playoffs for a whopping 204 yards on four receptions, including the game-winning touchdown in an 80-yard connection with quarterback Tim Tebow to beat the Steelers 29-23 in OT.

Thomas, 24, was also the lone bright spot during Denver’s 45-10 thrashing the following week at the hands of the New England Patriots, hauling in six catches for 91 yards. This was the second time he exploited the Patriots’ secondary, as he he hauled in seven catches for 116 yards in the first meeting in Week 15 of last season.
