With star wide receiver Percy Harvin placed on injured reserve, the Minnesota Vikings head into the final four games of the 2012 NFL regular season without their second-best playmaker.

Quarterback Christian Ponder has passed for the fewest yards (2,305) of any other 12-game starter and twice this season, he has been held to under 65 passing yards in a game. His second season struggles have cost the team very dearly at times, as the Vikings have fallen to .500 after their strong 4-1 start to the year.
Much of the blame lies with his decision-making while the rest is directed at Bill Musgrave, the offensive coordinator. Despite having one of the most dynamic running back/wide receiver/tight end combos in the NFL, he continues to refuse to take shots down the field. While the receiving corps is nothing to write home about, you’re never going to win the Powerball if you don’t buy a ticket.
