It is officially week five of the fantasy football season and in this article we are once again focusing on the rankings for this week. These rankings will help you determine which running backs you should play and sit this week and are based off standard scoring with a point per reception. It has kind of been an up and down season for running backs thus far, with some big-time surprises and big disappointments. One of the biggest busts after the first three weeks of the season was Titans running back Chris Johnson. Many of you im sure picked the former 2,000 yard rusher in the first round of your point per reception league draft (don’t feel bad, I did it too) but after last week, when Johnson surprised us all with 141 rushing yards against the Texans, we all have to re-think our strategy with him. Now this week may not be the best week for your faith in Johnson to be completely restored, not with the Stingy Minnesota run defense looming. Yet, there is one thing about Johnson...

Peterson downplays rivalry with Johnson

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Two seasons ago, a meeting between Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson, two of the NFL's premier running backs, would have been a highlight on the NFL's weekly schedule. Sunday's game, with Johnson's Tennessee Titans visiting Peterson's Minnesota Vikings, would have been billed as a matchup involving perhaps the game's biggest breakaway...

Titans DC implies he wants opposing players carted off

The Titans’ defense, through four games, has been nothing short of horrible, ranking last or near last in the major statistical categories — points allowed, total yards allowed, passing yards, and rushing yards. Statistics aside, they can’t seem to defend the middle of the field on a consistent basis, drawing the ire of coordinator Jerry Gray. Heading into their Week 5 matchup...

McCarthy, Britt both questionable for Titans

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Titans linebacker Colin McCarthy and receiver Kenny Britt both are questionable for Sunday's game against Minnesota. McCarthy at least has practiced; Britt has not seen any action in two consecutive weeks due to his sprained left ankle. McCarthy has not played since injuring the ankle in the season opener against New England. He practiced Wednesday and...

Locker will sit this one out, Hasselbeck gets the start

Mike Munchak announced yesterday that Matt Hasselbeck will start for the injured Jake Locker when they take on the Minnesota Vikings. "We're going to start Matt at quarterback this weekend and ... (have) given Jake the week off," Munchak said. "Jake's sore today as he was yesterday. ... Even though he'll probably be better the next couple days, we don&...

Kenny Britt not doing as well as the Titans had hoped

According to John Glennon of The Tennessean, wide receiver Kenny Britt isn’t doing as much as the Titans had hoped by now. Britt is still working his way back from a knee scope that he underwent in the offseason. I wonder if Britt will be ready to go for this week’s game against the Vikings.  There was hope he would have been back last week, but he ended up not being ready.

Hasselbeck to start, Locker to sit

The Titans will start Matt Hasselbeck Sunday against the Vikings, realizing Jake Locker’s injury is in no position to shoulder the burden.

Hutchinson wasn't surprised by Vikings exit

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Guard Steve Hutchinson said he, "saw the writing on the wall" as the Minnesota Vikings entered last offseason looking to get younger and that he wasnt surprised by his release a few days before free agency started in March.Hutchinson, the 12-year veteran who spent six years with the Vikings, ended up signing a three-year, 16 million contract with the...

Vikings will have to limit Johnson, Reynaud

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Fresh off back-to-back wins, the Minnesota Vikings return home to the Metrodome to face the Tennessee Titans this week, dealing with heightened expectations.Minnesota (3-1) has already matched last season's win total with wins against the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions. The Vikings feel they are prepared to handle the success this season."I think...

Where's Michael?

It's time for a new parlor game here at Total Titans, namely "what the heck is going on when the Tennessee Titans give up a passing touchdown." Since we're all about the synergistic gain here at Total Titans, I'll be doing this in a series of photos highlighting Michael Griffin in a takeoff of the "Where's Waldo" series of books, thus...
