2012 Recap: The Waiter had 4/109/9 on 4 targets in less than four quarters in Week One, but a foot injury hampered him for most of the season, as he only played in 10 games.  For the season, he finished with 45/644/4.  Garcon had 14.3 YPC, 9.47 YPT, and a whopping 7.6 average YAC.  Garcon set career highs in fantasy points per game (8.9), yards per game (63.3), but he was catching short passes at 6.8 yards downfield, which would explain a career high catch rate (66%).  Pierre didn’t go under the knife for his foot, as he opted to rest it.  He did however have surgery on a torn labrum, but is go to go for the start of training camp. What’s Changed:  The Redskins didn’t add any WRs that we should care about, so Garcon will easily be the #1 target again this season.  RG3 is well ahead of schedule and could be ready for week one.  Although the Redskins were run heavy, as they attempted just 442 passes all season long out of 994 plays (44.5%) last season, which was the 2nd lowest in the NFL.  They will most likely use RG3 more in than pocket and increase the amount of pass plays the utilize. The Shanny’s will not be afraid to take shots downfield and Garcon will be the recipient of those moon shots that RG3 throws up. Outlook:  I will be targeting Garcon in most drafts as his ADP and upside are  definitely worth the risk.  Being the #1 target with the above average skill set that he possesses, makes me believe that Garcon can be a top 10 fantasy WR this season if he plays all 16 games.  I’m in, now just stay healthy.  Merci beaucoup.
