Found July 06, 2013 on Juan Elway:
Maybe I’ll play shirtless this season Juan… 2012 Recap:  After injury plagued seasons in New Orleans, Bush had his best season in 2011 and fantasy owners had high hopes going into 2012.  Bush has finally become comfortable running between the tackles, but the Dolphins really utilized his skills on misdirection runs.  He suffered a mysterious knee injury in week 3 of 2012 and never really looked the same.  He only missed one game in his 2 seasons with the Dolphins, so his ability to stay healthy improved dramatically over his 5 seasons in NO.  Bush set a personal best in 2012 with 219 carries, but saw his yards drop from 1086 in 2011 to 960 in 2012.  He  did score 6 rushing TDs once again, but had a drop in receiving numbers, catching 35/292/2 on 51 targets, which put him 20th among RBs at 11 FPG.  Considering how poor the Dolphins receiving corp was, it didn’t make sense that Miami didn’t get him more involved in the passing game. What’s Changed:  The change to the Lions should be a major step up for Bush in PPR leagues.  The Lions threw the ball 740 times last season and targeted their top 2 RBs (Leshoure and Bell) a whopping 117 times.  Bush will be used in a variety of ways and all over the formation, especially if Ryan Broyles is limited early on.  It is no surprise that the Lions love to throw to their RBs and Bush is by far their most talented receiving RB.  Bush was targeted 119 times in his rookie season and caught 89 balls, so you can see where the excitement comes from for the Lions and fantasy owners alike.  Although he is the most talented back on the team, he can’t not be considered a workhorse back like the top guys.  We could and will probably see either Leshoure or Bell in short yardage or goaline situations.  Bell in particular showed he can be used in a variety of ways last season.  Outlook:  With Bush, it comes down to health.  He did play in 31 of 32 games with the Dolphins, so he may have turned the corner.  Hopefully there is not a correlation between the injuries and the field surface he plays on (NO- turf, Miami- grass, Detriot- turf).  There wasn’t a better situation he could of landed in for this season IMO, so PPR leaguers are drooling over Bush as his ADP has indicated.  I think he is a very strong RB2 that could be matched up with a stud RB, or if an owner goes WR-WR, Bush could be a nice guy to grab in the third round if he lasts that long. Former Lion Zack Follett takes team to court

Zack Follett was a reckless special-teams player during his short NFL career with the Detroit Lions. A neck injury suffered from a helmet-to-helmet collision ended his season early in 2010 and, ultimately, his career. Less than a year later, he was released when a comeback attempt failed. Now, Follett, who is 26, out of football and owns an organic coffee shop in his hometown of...

Suh clarifies Nick Fairley's best DT combo remarks

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley recently boasted that he and teammate Ndamukong Suh have the best DT combo in the league. Suh knows talk is cheap and that you have to go out and prove it every game, but at the same time, he doesn't see a problem with Nick's assessment. He agrees that he and Fairley “have the potential and the opportunity to be great."...

Ndamukong Suh: I Lead my Teammates by Being Affectionate

This is a big season for the Detroit Lions. After winning just 4 games in 2012, the Lions have kept the off-season buzzing with their additions of Reggie Bush and Glover Quinn. The subsequent claims by Bush that the Lions can win the Super Bowl certainly don’t help temper the high expectations for this squad headed into 2013. A key to it all will be the continued progress...

5 Reasons Reggie Bush is Bound For Best Fantasy Season of Career

Remember when we all thought Reggie Bush could be the next Gale Sayers? Remember when he was a man amongst boys in the Pac-10, playing with defensive linemen like he was the bully on the playground, running by them and over them?Remember when Bush was going to be the next great running back to cross the line and play in the NFL, showing speed and agility that was lost on teams?So...

Ndamukong Suh says he leads his teammates by being affectionate

ESPN’s Ed Werder asked Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh whether he considers himself a leader.  He responded by saying that he does, but not the way people would think. “I’m a player that goes by my actions and leads by my actions,” Suh said, via ProFootballTalk.com. “I have an affectionate way of being able to corral somebody, to go along and understand what I want...

Ndamukong Suh calls himself an 'affectionate' leader

The term "affectionate" probably isn't one of the first words that comes to mind when describing Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. However, this is precisely the way that Suh describes himself when asked about about his leadership ability by ESPN's Ed Werder.“I’m a player that goes by my actions and leads by my actions,” Suh said. “I have an...

Win or Lose Year to Year, the Detroit Lions Will Always Remain Maddening to Watch

The national media, at times, forgets what it means to watch the Detroit Lions. Simply because the team signed Reggie Bush, made other upgrades and should improve upon a dreadful 4-12 record, ESPN’s thinking is that Detroit should be fun to watch either way. Everyone who’s ever lived in Detroit around the beginning of every fall knows that’s not the case. Since the beginning...
