Found June 23, 2013 on Juan Elway:
Get that work done Juan… 2012 Recap:  A groin injury had Action Jackson sharing carries for the first half of the season with Daryl Richardson, but once healthy he saw the majority of the touches and accounted for 67% of the Rams snaps overall for the season.  Jackson finished the year with 257 carries for 1042 yards (4.1 YPC) and 4 TDs, and he added 38 catches for 321 yards.  He ended the year 25th among RBs, with 10.0 FPG, but he finished 11th among RBs in the final eight games of the year with 13.0.  All of this with only 4 TDs on the season.  What’s Changed:  A move to the Falcons will change everything for Steven Jackson’s prospects in 2013.  The Falcons are an extremely fantasy friendly offense that was bogged down by the plodding Michael Turner.  Turner was second in the league with 22 rushing attempts inside the 10. The Falcons were also fifth in the NFL with 124 RB targets, as Dirk Koetter‘s offense is a pass heavy attack throwing the ball 60.2% of the time in 2012, well above the league average of 54.1%.  This will make Jackson even more involved as he is an excellent receiver, unlike Turner.  Outlook:  Jackson has not suffered a major injury in his career and still has plenty of gas in the tank.  If he gets the looks that fat ass Turner did last season, you can bank 13-15 TDs in my humble opinion.  Although he is an aging RB with some mileage on his tires, this is a guy you should be targeting in the second round in all formats as he should be due for one of his best seasons in the NFL. First Look At Steven Jackson At Falcons’ OTAs Atlanta Falcons Owner Has Some Famous Friends

RB Jacquizz Rodgers won’t let the arrival of Steven Jackson slow him down

When veteran running back Michael Turner was let go, Jacquizz Rodgers looked like a lock for the starting job. He’s young, powerful, and elusive, but the Falcons went out and signed former St. Louis Rams power back Steven Jackson. Jackson’s credential immediately put him at the top of the depth chart and pushing Rodgers back to the number two back. However, he won’t let...

Who’s Next In Line: Dissecting the Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Situation

Falcons Tailgate Team Twitter Page (@tailgateteam) If you have been paying any attention to the Atlanta Falcons these past few years, you already know that a quarterback is not exactly a huge need for them at the moment. Granted, Matt Ryan had quite a bumpy start in the beginning, but he has undoubtedly found his niche. It’s safe to say he is one of the top 10 quarterbacks in...

Osi Umenyiora takes on leadership role, likes what he sees from young defensive linemen

Since Osi Umenyiora joined the Falcons in the offseason, he has quickly shown the rest of the team's young defensive ends what it takes to be a NFL pass rusher. Umenyiora observed his new teammates at OTAs and talked about the progress the have made. His Super Bowl was part of the decision by the Falcons in the offseason to add Umenyiora to the team. The team is looking...

Umenyiora displaying leadership in Atlanta

Osi Umenyiora is already making an impact on the Atlanta Falcons. Umenyiora is taking over a leadership role, he’s showing the Falcons’ young defensive ends what it means to be a great player in the NFL. Umenyiora sees the leader role as a part of his job. “It’s my job to help them,” he said. “I don’t have too much longer. It’s unlikely I’ll play another 10 years...

Falcons Futuristic Stadium Gets the Green Light

Of the two retractable roof design ideas by 360 Architecture, the Pantheon and the Solarium, the Atlanta Falcons have chosen a design: The Pantheon. The design received approval from the Georgia World Congress Center Authority on Tuesday. The Pantheon can basically be described as a cross between the Georgia Dome and something from another planet. The middle of the dome is called...

Falcons Conclude Offseason Workouts

Thursday marked the end of the season for the Falcons. No, not the 2013 regular season, but the non-game playing season of the year ended with the final day of minicamp. And Falcons coach Mike Smith could not have been more pleased with the way his team worked throughout the last nine weeks. “They have been very focused,” Smith said. “I thought we had a good practice on [Tuesday...

Tony Gonzalez Wins the Good Guy Award

The Good Guy Award is given to the NFL player who best helps the media do its job. The first Good Guy Award was given by the Professional Writers of America (PFWA) in 2005. This year’s award recipient was none other than Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez. Surprised? You shouldn’t be. He is a remarkable person on and off the field and has one the best reputations in the...

Why Pursuing Richard Seymour Makes Perfect Sense for the Atlanta Falcons

In NFL football, lineman depth on either side of the ball is something you can never have too much of. And for the last few seasons, the Atlanta Falcons have been surprisingly successful despite their lack of depth on the line—especially on defense. With some new faces in camp, the Falcons hope to solidify the rotation on that D-Line, but there is still room for more help. Reports have

Brian Banks: Inspiration

Came across this great youtube video which tells the story of Falcons LB Brian Banks. Give it a watch, Banks himself tweeted: "Wow! I had to upload this! Even I'm inspired. Please #retweet.. Please #Watch.." about the video.

NFC South: June stock watch

Atlanta Falcons, FLAT: When you're at the top of your division, there's no where to go but down. Luckily for the Falcons, they're holding steady as the class of the NFC South. The Saints will pose a more difficult challenge than they did last season without Sean Payton, but the Falcons are the more complete team. There's no reason the Falcons won't win the NFC...
