In the days leading up to the week 8 contests I posted an article deriding a fantasy analyst who suggested that a fantasy GM simply could not start Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks at the same time because they both played for the Giants. As it turns out, both players turned in duds but the moral is that the fact that one fantasy owner starts them both, shouldn't matter.

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz told Mike Francecsa on 660 WFAN in New York that everything is “moving in the right direction” towards him getting a new contract.
“From what I hear, they’ve just agreed on the structure right now,” Cruz said. “And that’s all I’m at liberty to say.”

The NFL midseason report card for the New York Giants would have to read quite favorably through the first half of the season. The defending Super Bowl champions are off to a 6-2 start that places them atop the standings in the NFC East. In fact, it also places them toward the top of most power rankings as all teams approach the half way point of the season.
They say that to be the...

The Giants are now 53-19 in the first half of the season under Tom Coughlin, though they are also just 27-37 in the 2nd half of the season. Looking at their schedule, we could see something similar happen. This week, they host the Steelers, then they go to Cincinnati, host the Packers, go to Washington, host the Saints, go to Atlanta, go to Baltimore...

The Denver Broncos have surged into the AFC West lead as quickly as the Cincinnati Bengals have watched their promising start disappear.
It may not be a coincidence given the rise of Peyton Manning's play and the recent struggles of Andy Dalton.
Manning has never lost the Bengals, and his Broncos seek a third straight victory while dealing host Cincinnati a fourth consecutive...
