Shatter The Backboard:
Doug Martin… (Silence and crickets.) Well that’s pretty much all I can say on this Tuesday after a monumental fantasy performance. Every daily fantasy player (and season long player) wishes they had Doug Martin on their fantasy team. Dougy Fresh had a whopping 51 fantasy points, this rivals my Michael Vick performance of 57 a couple years back. The daily fantasy dream is to get a guy that produces numbers like Martin every week. I did have a similar performance with my pick of James Harden, during a NBA match up last week.… Read more

The guy we featured as the Week Nine Fantasy Football Roundup cover boy? That's Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie running back Doug Martin. And he certainly...

The Headline: Doug Martin destroys the Raiders
The Story:
Does anyone still doubt the theory that running back is the easiest position to come into the league and have an immediate impact? Taken 31st overall in April’s draft, Buccaneers rookie Doug Martin ploughed through the ‘vaunted’ Raiders defense for a total of 251 yards and 4 touchdowns...
Martin Sets High Score on Dig Doug
There were concerns after Pro-Bowl guard Nicks went down for the rest of the season. People were saying that the statement game against Minnesota was now also the swan song for Doug Martin and his season. Well just letting you all know the Martin show might have been cancelled but it looks like this one will survive it’s first season. One week in without Nicks and Martin...

But after starting 1-3 and winning three of their last four, the Buccaneers are beginning to make some noise around the league. Where the team ranks Total Offense – 9th (376.4 ypg) Rushing Offense – 9th (131.0 ypg) Passing Offense – 14th (245.4 ypg) Total Defense...
Monday Musings: Doug Martin’s heroic effort, Peterson’s big day for naught, another Dallas disappointment; and other notes from week 9
There is no other way to lead a recap of Sunday’s games than with a discussion of Doug Martin’s effort. I spent the week talking about how the loss of the best guard in football may have an impact on this line (lets give Tampa’s o-line some credit, too) and the run game. Martin and his teammates proved me wrong on game day. Oakland fought valiantly to stay in this game, but...
