Though the Vikings did not place a restricted tender on fullback Naufahu Tahi before last week's deadline, there's still a chance Tahi could return to the lineup next year on a small-scale deal. A tender for Tahi would have been around $1.4 million based on his six years of NFL service, an amount the Vikings didn't want to pay. But the team did meet with Tahi's agent recently and discussed the potential to bring back Tahi, who started seven games last season. His highlight last season was catching a 1-yard touchdown pass against New England, and his lowlight was missing several backfield blocks in pass protection against the Jets.
