Fear not Seahawks

Last week my dreams were broken by the Seattle Seahawks. I had invisioned them dumping Shaun Alexander and picking up Ducks running back Jonathan Stewart in the draft; however, things changed when the Hawks picked up T.J. Duckett, and Julius Jones. I like what the Hawks did by picking up Duckett. The running game has just not been the same since the Seahawks got rid of Steve Huchinson. Also, the loss of Mack Strong hurt way more than I thought. Duckett will be a force on the goal line, and the Hawks could also throw him in there to be a lead blocker. Now, onto Julius Jones.... Personally, I don't think he's a feature back in the NFL. I undersand the Seahawks need for a decent running back after Alexander fell off the face of the earth, but Julius Jones? Is he really the answer? No! Now the Seahawks have a golden opportunity. As fate would have it, Jonathan Stewart had surgery to repair turf-toe yesterday morning. This means Stewart could slip down to a late first round pick. He could practically fall into the Seahawks hands, if they play their cards right. Package Alexander, or Mo Morris, do whatever you have to do, just get JStew. He is the perfect fit for the West Coast offense, and he can heal while learns behind Mo Morris and Julius Jones. Take it from a guy who watched him for three season's at Oregon, he's worth it. This kid could be the steal of the draft. The Seahawks must capitalize!
