A.J. Green: He accounted for the Bengals only touchdown of the day with an 11-yard catch from Andy Dalton to make it 21-7 with 4:06 remaining in the first half. Green finished with six receptions for 87 yards.
UPON FURTHER REVIEW
The lone touchdown of the day was a nice job by both Green and Dalton. Green got good separation away from Ike Taylor at the line and then was open in the back of the end zone as it looked like Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons lost coverage. Dalton did a nice job rolling left and then found Green. It was the ninth straight game where Dalton had a TD pass.
THE YIKES! FACT
Receivers accounted for seven of Andy Dalton’s 11 completions. Six of those were by A.J. Green and the other catch was by Andrew Hawkins. Jerome Simpson did not have a catch for the second-straight time against Pittsburgh (he was targeted three times) and Andre Caldwell was not targeted once. Can a second receiver step up in the last four games?
