PLAYERS: Lamar Miller
TEAMS: Miami Dolphins
After Reggie Bush left the Dolphins in free agency the question is who will step up and take his place? It will most likely either be Lamar Miller or Daniel Thomas, and out of those two based on skills, it’ll be Lamar Miller. Don’t get me wrong Daniel Thomas is promising but not as good as Miller. Thomas’s problem is he is inconsistent, one game he will look great, and the next one look like he doesn’t even know where he is. Last season he had 91 attempts, and 325 rushing yards, and 4 rushing touchdowns. Thomas is great at those 3rd and 1 situations, thats what he will probably be used for. Same as last year usually, have him barrel through the pack and get a first down. The starting running back will be Lamar Miller, in his rookie season last year he had 51 attempts, and 251 rushing yards. Miller averaged about 5 yards per carry, which is pretty impressive. I’m excited to see what Miller will do this year in a starting role. He will have some troubles but he will get settled in this year and become a great running back over the next two years. We know the two main starters but lets talk about the incoming rookie from the Florida Gators. Mike Gillislee was drafted by the Dolphins in the 5th round with the 164th overall pick. In his senior season with the Gators, Gillislee had 244 attempts, 1,152 rushing yards, and 10 rushing touchdowns. Those are pretty impressive numbers, I’m interested to see how he will do as years go by in the NFL. This position is well stocked and there is no worries on the running back position now for a couple years. The Miami Dolphins always find good running backs through the years and its always been a safe spot for them.

15 Most Important Dolphins for 2013: #14 Daniel Thomas

Daniel Thomas is Miami's leading returning rusher and touchdown scorer. (Photo: USA Today) With Reggie Bush now in Detroit the Miami Dolphins will have fairly big shoes to fill at running back. In his two seasons as a Dolphin, Bush averaged better than 1,000 yards rushing per season and provided big play capability both on the ground and through the air. Tasked with the...

Dolphins searching for an answer at tight end

The emergence of the tight end position and the vertical threat the position has become has changed the overall mindset of many NFL teams, including the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins are searching for the right combination and still aren’t sure they have it. Currently they have five tight ends on the roster. Dustin Keller was picked up during free agency from the New York Jets...

Miami Dolphins cheerleaders make jaw-dropping cover video for Taylor Swift’s “22”

The Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders recently released a video cover of Taylor Swifts pop hit “22”, and whether you are a Cheesehead like myself, or even if you call Foxborough home, believe me, there is something for everyone in this video. Sure, I like good pop song playing in the background just as much as anyone else, but with all due respect to the Grammy-winning Ms. Swift, ...

Joe Philbin wants Vonta Leach deal done by week's end

Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin is busy making plans for the 2013 season. He has a roster to fill, a depth chart to form and a myriad of other head coach responsibilities. An opportunity to sign fullback Vonta Leach to deal will affect those decisions. He has no time for waiting for two weeks for Leach to make his choice. Is there's going to be deal, get it done before...

Does The Read-Option Change Ryan Tannehill’s Fantasy Prospects?

Miami Dolphins second year quarterback Ryan Tannehill, with athleticism to burn and a year of pro football’s brutal reality check in the books, would seem a natural fit for the demands of the read-option play that helped make Robert Griffin III, Colin Kaepernick, and Russell Wilson fantasy football deities in 2012. Tannehill, a former wide receiver at Texas A&M, had some modicum...

It’s time for Chad Johnson to simply go away

It’s time for the publicity hound known as Chad Ochocinco or Chad Johnson to simply go away. Last week, Johnson made news once again after slapping his attorney on the ass in court just like he’d slap a lineman after scoring a touchdown. Johnson wasn’t on the gridiron though, he was in a courtroom and the judge did not find his antics amusing and gave him 30 days in jail. As...
