The Penalty Flag:
The Philadelphia Eagles were once the ‘Dream Team” but now all that is nothing but a distant memory. As the Eagles were dismantled by the New England Patriots on Sunday, Eagles fans took out their frustrations on Andy Reid. “Fire Andy” chants broke out from the Philadelphia faithful. The same once faithful crowd that witnessed head coach Andy Reid take the team to four consecutive NFC Championship games. Reid has the most regular season wins of any coach in franchise history, the most playoff wins in franchise history and the highest winning percentage in franchise history. No matter what blame fans want to pin on Reid this season he has been one of the best coaches in the league for the last decade, there is no arguing that. The Eagles now move to 4-7 and have moved out of the playoff conversation but the only conversation that will be around is that of the future of head coach Andy Reid.

If the Eagles go to Seattle and are beaten by a bad Seahawks team it will increase the chances that Andy Reid will be fired. The embarrassing loss to the Patriots surely gave Jeffrey Lurie and Joe Banner more reasons to consider firing Reid. Lurie is from the Boston area. He considered purchasing the Patriots.
I don't know if the Eagles are going to fire Andy Reid. They've suffered through 5-11 and 6-10 seasons with him before, and he survived those. Someone upstairs really believes in the guy.

After the NFL lockout ended, the Philadelphia Eagles went to town and signed several free agents, which made them the talk of the NFL.
Among the signings was coveted cornerback, Nnamdi Asomugha.
You see, Eagles owner Jeff Lurie made available some cash for the free agents.
But after it was over (or before), the Eagles ran out of money and gave Head coach Andy Reid a sure...
"Fire Andy! Fire Andy!" Each demanding chant bellowed by fed-up Eagles fans was the most emphatic sign yet that the faithful have turned for good on coach Andy Reid. Reid, who led Philadelphia to five NFC championship games, has been booed and criticized, with calls to talk radio asking for him to resign or for management to can him. But never had they voiced their displeasure like this.
Eagles head coach Andy Reid said that the injured QB will not practice Tuesday, making it highly unlikely he will play Thursday night against the Seahawks.
Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid said wide receiver DeSean Jackson will be in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Jackson was benched in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to New England after dropping his third pass of the game.
It has been a turbulent season for Jackson, who has been unhappy over the team's unwillingness to sign...
