Last week wasn’t very profitable but we’re still hanging in there with a winning percentage close to 60% (53-40-3). Luckily the last week of the regular season provides a bevy of matchups that actually mean something so guys will be playing for a hell of a lot more matt-ryanthan pride. There are even a few games that might as well be playoff games this week, making things even more interesting. Here we go!……..-Fireman Mike

Falcons -10.5 vs. Bucs

I can’t recall a team mailing it in the way Tampa Bay has over the last four weeks of the regular season and they’re doing everything in their power to get Raheem Morris fired. I don’t expect that to stop with a pity party during the week so we’ll take one of the strongest running teams in the league against an awful offense that could score in a ***** house with a fist full of Benjamins!

Atlanta rolls, 34-10, and claims the fifth spot in the NFC.

Ravens PK @ Bengals

The Bengals have overachieved all season long but they haven’t been able to break through against the best teams in their own division. It’s simple as this: I haven’t picked the Bengals in games against the elite teams in the AFC and I damn sure aint gonna start in Week 17!

Ravens win 27-20 and claim the 3-seed in the AFC.

Giants -3 vs. Cowboys

Who wants it more? That’s what this game is going to come down to and the track record says the Giants are going to be the ones going to the playoffs come Monday morning. They found a semblance of a running game last week against the Jets while Dallas went out and beat itself up against a Philadelphia team that is probably laughing at Tony Romo right now. The Cowboys aren’t too far away from becoming a perennial playoff contender but that’s gonna have to wait until next year.

New York rolls Dallas, 37-24, and Jason Garrett becomes a wanted man for the wrong reason!

Giants vs. Cowboys - OVER 47.5

We did this a few weeks ago and we’re going back to the well. Each team is susceptible to the deep ball and they both have quarterbacks who can exploit that weakness. Enough said!

Jets +3 @ Dolphins

The Jets aren’t as bad as they played against the Giants last weekend and the Dolphins aren’t as good as they played against the Patriots last weekend. New York needs a ton of stuff to go right for them in order to reach the playoffs but all of it isn’t necessarily that outrageous and it just might happen. I expect the Jets to turn to their running game a lot more than they did against the Giants and stop being so one dimensional. That should be enough to slide past the Dolphins in Miami.

The Jets win straight up 24-19 but we’ll take the points because they’re free.

The Raheem Morris watch is on; Head coach likely fired today; this week

New coaching staff will have young talent to mold into winnersIn the end, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2011 season will be remembered for one thing; the worst Bucs team ever to play the game. Worse than 1976- they had an excuse, and they had some heart. Worse than 1977, they won the last two games, and they had a defense. Worse even than 1986- and let me tell you because I lived through...

Most of the talk today is on Ronde Barber‘s response to the question as to whether he is coming back and if Raheem Morris‘s status as coach has anything to do with it. “I would be lying if I didn’t say that,” Barber said when asked if his future was linked to Morris’. “That’s somewhat true.
