Fox Sports Arizona:
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- The Cardinals' offensive woes have limited their ability to take advantage of one of the best wide receivers in the game.
A weak offensive line, erratic quarterback play and a largely ineffective running game have meant that defenses can zero in on Larry Fitzgerald more than ever, and he was already drawing plenty of attention. One of the game's best offensive players plays on one of its worst offenses.
An immensely proud player, Fitzgerald works hard to keep any personal frustration to himself. He knows how good he is, and that must make the offensive struggles of his team even harder to bear.
"I know what I am. I know who I am," he said after practice on Thursday. "That's not going to change based on week to week number-wise. That's never going to change. My focus is more so on just getting it done as a whole. That's really what I think of. I'll get my plays."
Fitzgerald, who holds virtually every franchise caree...

It doesn’t look like Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb will be returning to field any time soon.
“Kolb has been doing some light throwing but doesn’t appear close to being ready to play,” writes Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.
Kolb was injured during Week 6′s loss to the Bills when he suffered multiple detached ribs. It would a surprise if he is able to play before...
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Daryn Colledge had never been the player asked to do the conference call with the opposing team's local media. After all, as the offensive lineman who protected Brett Favre for two years and Aaron Rodgers for three seasons during his time with the Packers, Colledge wasn't exactly highly requested for those types of interviews.
Now in his second year with...

According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, Cardinals running back Beanie Wells is expected to return to practice next week and play in their November 25th game against the Rams.

I wish Dennis Green was still the Cardinals’ coach. Then he could shout “we are who they thought we were!” I never believed in them. They’ve never been ranked higher than 15th in these Power Rankings, even when they were 4-0. This is what I said about the Cardinals after their 3-0 start. Almost every year, there’s a team that gets off to a...

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By JOHN MARSHALL AP Sports Writer The Arizona Cardinals have been one of the NFL's worst offenses, unable to run the ball, protect the quarterback or score many points.
At the midpoint of the season, they don't have many options to fix their inadequacies.
Arizona could try to find players to replace the ones it has, but...
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Paris Lenon was a Green Bay rookie in 2002 when he received his Packers indoctrination. Every year at training camp, the club has a tradition featuring kids bringing their bikes to Lambeau Field, sticking pegs in the back-wheel spokes, carrying a players helmet and hitching a ride across Oneida St. to the clubs practice facility while 250- and 300-pound players pedal...
New Washington State coach Mike Leach can earn a $75,000 bonus for taking the Cougars to a low-level bowl game.
Or he can earn $100,000 for making a BCS bowl game. Or $25,000 for winning the Apple Cup.
Details of Leach's recently signed five-year contract have been released after public records requests by media. He makes a $2 million base salary and $250,000 in other income...
Arizona: The Cardinals hit rock bottom in Week 8, getting shellacked by the 49ers right in their own back yard no less. Of course the road doesn’t get any easier, as they pay a visit to Lambeau Field and the suddenly clicking Packers. The Packers are playing better defense than they did last season, ranking 13th overall in yards allowed per game and are second with a total of...
The 49ers remained No. 4 in the in this week’s Associated Press Pro32 NFL power rankings after their 24-3 rout of the Arizona Cardinals left them 6-2 with a two-game lead in the NFC West heading into their bye week.
