Bills Herd:
The Bills played their rival Patriots down to the wire….At least, that is what Buffalo fans have to tell themselves. Up until a couple of second half interceptions by new quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, the Pats looked vulnerable to an upset.
These clearly aren’t the Patriots of the early 2000’s so the Bills shouldn’t kid themselves into thinking they almostupset one of the NFL’s premier teams. The Pats may only be the third best team in the division. New England is vulnerable to the pass so Fitzpatrick’s decent passing day is probably more of an exception than the rule. Also, per the usual, the Bills rush defense was terrible.
On the plus side, the Bills did do some key things well and the even stat line line on Sunday matched the close score throughout the day. The passing yardage for Fitzpatrick was close to that of Brady. The time of possession wasn’t utterly dominated by the pats. The Bills ran the ball well again and finally got...
