Five early bold predictions for the Chicago Bears in 2024
David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

As the 2024 NFL season continues drawing closer, one of the most exciting teams to keep an eye on will be the Chicago Bears. For years, they have been viewed as a pushover in the NFC, but that will no longer be the case.

Caleb Williams was drafted with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. His addition gives the Bears a legitimate franchise quarterback that they have been searching for what seems like an eternity. They were also able to add Rome Odunze with the No. 9 overall pick to give him an elite rookie weapon to utilize.

Outside of those two picks, the Bears were able to make some major additions in free agency. Among those new pickups were running back D’Andre Swift and a trade for Keenan Allen. Both players will be major factors in the new-look offense.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at five early bold predictions for the new-look Chicago Bears in 2024.

5 Early Bold Predictions For The Chicago Bears

5. Matt Eberflus Secures His Spot In Chicago For Years To Come

Throughout the course of the 2023 NFL season, many Bears fans wanted the franchise to fire head coach Matt Eberflus. Despite the calls for his job to be terminated, Chicago decided to keep him around for another year.

When everything is said and done this season, the Bears and their fans will be happy with the decision. Eberflus is a good coach when he has the right personnel. He will lead the Bears to their most successful season in years and will secure his job for years to come.

4. The Bears Will Have A Top-5 NFL Offense

On the offensive side of the football, there are few teams with the kind of firepower that the Bears have been able to put together.

Caleb Williams alone was a massive upgrade, but being able to bring in three other elite playmakers like D’Andre Swift, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze make them insanely loaded. The offensive line will need to play better than they have in recent years, but the weapons are all there.

Chicago will live up to the hype that their new offense is creating and they will end up as a top-five offense in the NFL. Williams is going to live up to the hype as well with the supporting cast that the Bears have given him. The 2024 season is going to be a very exciting one for the Bears’ fan base.

3. Jaylon Johnson Leads The NFL In Interceptions

For the next prediction, we’re going to switch to the defensive side of the ball. Jaylon Johnson was retained this offseason, which was an outcome that many did not expect to see happen.

Johnson is one of the most underrated cornerbacks in the NFL. He ended the 2023 season with four interceptions and 10 defended passes. While those are great numbers, he will take his production to another level this year.

We are predicting that Johnson will end up leading the NFL in interceptions. Our belief is that he will end up with seven interceptions throughout the course of the season.

2. Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze Are Both Top Three In Offensive Rookie Of The Year

It isn’t very often that teams are able to have two picks in the top 10 of an NFL Draft. That is exactly the situation that the Bears found themselves in this offseason.

Both Williams and Odunze are elite talents and they will showcase that fact on the field this season. They will both be among the NFL’s most productive offensive rookies and will both finish in the top three of voting for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Those two alone are poised to take the Chicago Bears to a new level. Fans are getting excited about the two rookies growing together and it will all come together much quicker than most young players do.

1. The Chicago Bears Are Going To Make The Playoffs

Finally, the ultimate goal for the Bears this season will be to take a huge leap forward from a team success standpoint.

With all of the improvements they have made this offseason, Ryan Poles will look like a genius. Chicago will end up making it into the Wild Card round of the playoffs. We don’t see a playoff run coming for the Bears, but they will make it into the postseason.

The 2024 campaign will be a massive step towards getting into Super Bowl contention. With a rookie quarterback, making the playoffs is a huge goal in and of itself. They will accomplish that goal and set the tone for even more improvement over the next few years.
